In the early 2000s we (girls) were getting over diagnosed with bipolar/bipolar II for our erratic behavior. We know SO much more about trauma than we did them, I'm not shocked to see the dx become more "common." Just a thought tho (Dx'd bipolar in 2006 at 16, re dx'd BPD in 2021 at 31)

Trying to stop a BPD spiral when I'm staring down the barrel of a repeat of my 2020 after a surprise ER visit is exhausting. Context: I nearly died with a blood infection and 2020 and it's now looking like another infection has put strain on my heart. No answers yet, but appointments made.

My #BPD didn't start "looking" like BPD until after I crashed out and put myself in a psych ward because literally no one believed me when I told them that I felt like I was going insane. My toolbox to handle my symptoms is well used and well cared for. But even still, I hate getting activated.
