You might think it would be nice to go... and see all the different ways to be absolutely right, but it is a very dangerous thing to do. The poor man and his poor dog are scattered far and wide, not just through space, but through time, too.

The constitutional crisis is here. The President is disobeying lawful court orders. His advisors and allies are cheering him on. And Kilmar Abrego Garcia remains trapped in a jail in El Salvador. youtu.be/HGTIELDTHOo?...

Harvard has set an example for other higher-ed institutions - rejecting an unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom, while taking steps to make sure students can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate and mutual respect. Let’s hope others follow suit.

He wants you to be scared. It's what he does when he is scared.

Rising number of statements from congressional Democrats to Kilmar Abrego Garcia case Rep Maxwell Frost (D-FL): “This is government-funded kidnapping, plain and simple. No one is safe in Trump’s America; let that sink in”

Congress must move to impeach

Crosswalk buttons along the Peninsula are sounding a new tune when pressed with voices mimicking Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk speaking a message.

whoever did this belongs on Rushmore (via www.paloaltoonline.com/technology/2...)

I’ve been hearing people say that hundreds of thousands of people have been signing up to volunteer for the Republicans using fake info! It really clogs up volunteer efforts! What a shame! Can’t do anything nice these days! Hope no one else does this! gop.com/volunteer/

This is big: House Republicans tucked language into the budget res “rule” that bans the House from voting to terminate Trump’s emergency declaration used to impose tariffs. TL;DR lawmakers who vote for this are officially giving up their power to revoke his tariffs until October.

160 years of the Union undivided and free; never perfectly so, but always seeking it. Eternal memory to the 365,000 martyred against the cause of slavery and disunion, and God willing Jeff Davis and his lot will burn in Hell for just as long. May we have a new birth of freedom and 160 more years.

They said my artisanal hand-carved semiconductor business would never be viable but who’s laughing now?

A lot of very frustrating American political behavior is explained by reasoning something like this: A pathologically mentally unbalanced moron surely could not receive a major party presidential nomination, let alone win, twice. Therefore if he seems like one, it must all be a clever act.

very excited for what will likely be The Monday of (Financial) Doom

Impeach Trump.

It's 1828. The United States has adopted the highest tariff rate of the century for insane and idiotic reasons. It's 1929. The United States has adopted the highest tariff rate of the century for insane and idiotic reasons. It's 2025. The United States has adopted the highest tariff rate of the ce

I’ve been sort of idly keeping track of all the points in the Declaration of Independence’s bill of particulars that arguably apply to the Trump Admin. This is the first four-in-a-row I’ve hit. www.archives.gov/founding-doc...

If you think what happened to Rumeysa Ozturk can't happen to you because you're a citizen and she's not, you are sorely mistaken. Ozturk was snatched off the street not for being a national security threat but for having a wrong opinion. If we don't put a stop to this, it's coming for all of us.

Zero harm and ample upside in Democrats calling for impeachments and a special prosecutor. The VP, the Secretaries of State, Defense, and Treasury, the DNI, and the NSC were all involved in the grossly negligent disclosure of specifics on combat operations.

The terrible CR Budget bill — written by right-wing House Republicans with no input from anybody but themselves — was passed tonight with the support of 10 Democrats.   An absolute failure of Democratic leadership. NOBODY in the Senate should have voted for this dangerous bill.

So basically we have (A) a fascist party and (B) a party that doesn't want to make too much of a fuss about the fascist party.

My two cents: we don’t abandon the Democratic Party. We remake it. It’s a good party. It just has bad leadership.

@therickwilson.bsky.social has an urgent message for the Dems: SHUT IT DOWN! Watch:

If I’m thinking thru the senate rules right (by no means certain), I think a single D senator can force the voting that’s starts tomorrow to last into the beginning of next week by refusing unanimous consent. That can slow things down and allow the backlash to expand.

*MASSIVE LEFTIST OUTRAGE AGAINST TRUMP, MUSK, AND FASCISM* Hakeem Jeffries: "We should direct that anger at the people destroying the country." Chuck Schumer: "I have a better idea, we should *re*direct that anger at our political party." Hakeem: "Wut?" Schumer: "Then Trump voters will vote for us"

This is excellent and worth a watch and share. Tonight has been a turning point in our party. Those that don’t recognize that do not deserve the power voters awarded them.

AOC: It is almost unthinkable why Senate Democrats would vote to to hand the few pieces of leverage that we have away for free when we've been sent here to protect social security, protect medicaid, and protect medicare.
