Maybe container yard guards are easily bribed to look the other way?

Almost. Just a few more billion to fleece^H^H^H^H^H^H protect from fraud.

I was curious how you implemented arbitrary exponents. Integer exponents are easy enough, but fractional exponents aren't. Nicely done.

That sounds.... complex. Though using values other than 2 for p is an interesting idea. Neat that it gives interesting results.

I love that just record awesome stuff in your back yard.

Rough. My first (and maybe worst) #gamedev nightmare was being chased through a maze by something, and jumping down a ramp. I then panicked, because <other programmer> hadn't implemented friction yet, and I knew I was doomed.

Cat judges me. I am always found wanting in that judgement.

I spent much of the day watching ST:TNG reruns and working on miniatures. You will get no harsh judgement from me.

Y'all still make a lot of my favorite music and TV shows, even though my health limits how much maple syrup or whiskey I get these days.

This DJT tweet aged well.

The country really IS full of f-ckwads after all. Disappointing.

There is literally no difference. NOT sarcasm.

I'm sort of decided not to watch it based on similar opinions I've read.

That's ok, we're currently ALL women by the given executive order definition. (Love it when lawmakers don't know basic science.)

Hear, hear. "Roman Salute" my ass. Context matters.

I'm always late taking my tree down because my cat loves sleeping under it. She actually gets excited when we dig it out of the attic each year. Part of me wants to leave it up all the time, but that way leads to madness.

Middle of the day works out best for me, especially miniatures or board games. Though most of my tabletop RPG sessions happen in the evening.

I don't find that I come here every day, but I NEVER used twitter, so this is a step up from an engagement perspective I guess.

Agreed - "Because I said so!" was never the explanation for "But WHY?" in my house. Though perhaps "avoid a 5m philosophical lecture by Dad" became its own motive for not talking back. :)

Hi Mitch, I also married my HS sweetheart 35 years ago. While I've played a lot of your games, my games have been less "stompy" overall, and maybe less well known. (Though the DK Country games I worked on were pretty stompy, I suppose.)

As one of your southern neighbors, I extend my condolences to you, and my hopes that things work out better than many of us suspect they will.

"Murderbot Diaries" is quite good and not long. Well technically I can only comment on the first book since it's all I've read. In spite of the casting for the show, Murderbot read female to me. Curious to see if you have the same experience.

We've taken to using music for all of our tabletop games. Jake's pretty great at finding appropriate sound tracks.

For sure. I struggle with any RPG setting that already has "big damn heroes" in it. Generally those settings are tuned to be plot vehicles for THOSE characters, not mine. Though "I'm playing Wolverine, who wants Cyclops?" type gaming could maybe work. I haven't tried.

That's what I love about game programming, too. So many varieties of problems to solve. And when you're done, you get something that hopefully brings joy to some people.

Please bring back some form of force organization chart and battlefield roles for different detachments. Still leave "whatever you want" army lists in the game. They maybe just don't get detachment specific stratagems.

It does prevent me from "save scumming", but I've found that actually being able to lose makes the game more tense.

I'm still playing HBS BT. It's my "go to" game when I don't mind a little heartbreak. Ironman mode FTW.
