No, that’s true. I just wondered if you knew something I didn’t about the differences between serotonin and and adenosine systems in human brains, or about the differences in distribution of oral melatonin and caffeine to the brain. Honestly, I might have missed a paper somewhere.

Hormones are part of an array of responses to stimuli in our environment, and while many have assumed their elevation or depletion is an antecedent to behavior, that change is just as often a consequence of behavior or a stimulus. So no - testosterone doesn’t necessarily make you horny.

Sometimes I take the temp on the turkey after only an hour or two on the grill. Do I think it’s done? No. But the progression helps me adjust the rest of the cook, position around hotspots and cooking temp, when to boil the mashed potatoes, etc.
