my advice as a former gifted kid is reward her for efforts not results. my parents kind of tried to do that but it didn't work and I still have 0 work ethic. the only thing I ever 'put effort' in was learning the guitar & literally nothing else. other stuff (art, writing) I just did and was good at

I agree. I was pretty ok with language. wrote stories for fun etc. didn't want a creative career, studied IT and now I work a desk job writing emails that come extremely intuitively and easily to me. call it 'squandering' if u like but I sure have life on easy mode bc i was a fast learner as a child

'computer games' because for whatever reason they only got games by the time the home computer was popularised (eastern bloc, China, etc). China also had a ban on home consoles while I was growing up but handhelds were popular (esp the PSP), but those were called 'electronic games' instead.

if u watch clone wars/bad batch this comes up a lot. some characters go from hating droids to accepting that some are 'one of the good ones'. I think the mandalorian also doesn't like droids?
