Cycling, walking, hiking, craft ales. In that order.. For now! Ex "Pro" BMX racer. Love the countryside & exploring. Header pic - me & dad somewhere in Derbyshire in the mid 70s

It's been heading that way since Reagan/Thatcher. I'd rather we didn't.

I reckon I'd have loved the tunes as well. Should've come with you. I was already in love with house music, soul, funk. Now on TOTP1990. Bad bmx accident and started clubbing properly. No more "now and then" Full bore. Some of the best nights of my life. πŸ’•

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Oh yeah. You, Craig, @steamhead.bsky.social Prog rock crew. I loved pretty much anything that made me feel like dancing. Weird, cos I always felt embarrassed to dance in public.

πŸ˜‚ Staple wear back then. I'm just trying to work out how I got from my love of Two Tone to ADORING Joyce Sims. Music. The great Leveller.

Now onto Dave Gahan with those old style metal diamond studs on his sleeves. Yeomans army store?

On it. Seems I appreciate Blow Monkeys more than I did back then. More soulful than I remember. Is that a bmxer on his jumper? πŸ€”

We've still got the boy at home full time and daughter in the uni hols so struggle to put much in there. Dual too.

We still use our "conventional" for a lot of stuff. Air fryer is too small really.

Ours has made my son actually "cook" for himself. His diet is pretty crap to be honest, but at least he's giving it a go. Just need him to clean the bloody thing after he's used it now..

Dear TNT, I have little to zero interest in most of those sports listed. Now what? Regards,

I don't really watch other sports since "pay per view" became a costly thing. Didn't mind a few quid to watch cycling, but that price hike is not sustainable. I can't see the ones paying for the football will have any interest in the cycling.

Sad. Another subscription about to be cancelled. Sport on terrestrial TV is finished.

I can't wait. I had hand surgery on NYE so haven't been able to do much at all other than walk or Zwift for all of January. Longing for a ride outdoors..

Cheers. I'll check it out on catch up. We were out last night.

If they're group rides, stick with D for a while, but help with the sweeping. Basically intervals and you'll reap the benefits. It's harder to ride at the back of the group. Once you feel you can do that regularly, move into C groups. πŸ‘πŸΌ

Facebook went years ago. Twitter gone now too. I'll be honest, this will be gone too, if the loonies are allowed to flourish on here.

After watching me, luckily, pick myself up of the floor the owner was screaming & shouting at me! I guess at the time I felt OK so didn't pursue it. The whiplash kicked in a couple of weeks later. 2yrs of physio & sleepless nights. It's just taken me another 2yrs to ease it again after a flare up.

15 years on from hitting a unleashed dog on a bridlepath and I still struggle with the after effects. Had to quit my love of offroad riding because of it. If anyone's dog is skittish around cyclists, runners, kids etc... On a lead please.

Yeah, I'm clucking to get pedalling again, but a little worried about overdoing it. Baby steps again for a while I guess. All the best for a quick recovery.

How strange. I went back to work this morning, but clocked back out again almost straight away. Didn't feel right at all &..... my knees hurt. 😳

Er... Outside of paid hours I don't even think about work. That's just how it should be.
