Terrific book. I teach it in my methods course. I also teach courses on war and terrorism but this is the first book I ever included a trigger warning for. It’s powerful.

AI is terrible for a lot of the things it gets used for, but good for some stuff. I asked Claude to shorten a tenure letter I’d written down to for the word limit for a nomination letter. Had to edit a tiny bit but it saved me a ton of time. Like many things, it’s good in moderation

Have you used WordRake for tightening prose? It’s good for a first pass. AI is also not terrible for tightening prose but you have to check it cuz it sometimes cuts important stuff.
