I’m not trying to make excuses for anyone, but a lot of people are just like… impressionable, think they’re good, don’t understand what they’re talking about. Not “good people” but nothing wrong with them in a vacuum.

Yes, though now that I’m a relatively rural Wisconsinite I have shifted my hatred from the voters themselves to the conservative media that brainwashed them. I’d say about half the people who vote R here are actual bad people. The rest are mostly just dumb and regurgitate what they saw on Fox News

I think especially here in Wisconsin I just did not understand how it became such a centered political issue. I find it hard to believe that the effects of illegal immigration have literally any negative effect on the lives of basically any Wisconsinites

Honestly, I have never truly understood the “illegal immigration is a serious problem” thing. Smarter news outlets seemed to acknowledge the “problem” but I never heard the reasoning behind it explained beyond batshit race-baiting political commercials about some white woman getting beaten to death

I’m pretty zen about it. This team even if Dame is fully healthy (no blood clot) might beat Indiana, but I don’t think they could beat CLE or BOS. Bucks got that ring, those finals were my favorite sports event of my life. Didn’t work out after that, but we got one and several all-time heroes.

Not trying to get too defeatist but… if Lillard is out for the season next year, it’s hard to see them being any sort of contender, and then after that you’re one year from 33-year-old free agent Giannis. Feels like the end of an era.

An aside is that I think Cousy is underrated from a “my grandma would have totally been into this guy” standpoint

Which is insane, because Jokic’s offense is like the most fun thing to watch in the league! I get what you’re saying though. Seems like Jokic feels almost “less cool”

I think if LA beats Denver in this series, we're going to finally start to hear the media machine ratchet up a bit on Jokic. I'm without the context like you, but I do not get the sense that it's quite been like this for other players. Maybe because Giannis was hitting FA around peak-"empowerment"
