Case in point because perhaps you are not aware of it. It’s actually Poland who bought really lots of Starlinks for Ukraine. Poland pays subscription fees for Ukraine. It’s a business arrangement. Would the U.S. try to cancel it…?

Il n’y a pas que Starlink sur le marché. Une des alternatives : Oneweb. By Eutelsat. Et c’est européen. Comment expliquer que cette solution ne soit pas davantage mise en lumière ? On a la technologie. Les ressources. Et personne n’en parle jamais. ➕ les ukrainiens pourraient en bénéficier.

There is a culture of impunity for former American presidents. Especially those who refuse to stand up, speak up, and take the lead of a counter-coup. I had no idea Americans were so dumb. It simply defies belief.

If any of our former NATO or Five Eyes allies have intelligence data and assessments, which surely they must, about the background of the leader of their new strategic adversary, the United States, now is as good a time as any to release them, subject to protection of methods and sources, of course.

Europeans are in grave danger. We need a defence-industrial strategy targeted at not only deterring but defeating Russia if necessary - & positioning us to compete long-term. We need a 🌊'Smart Wave' focused on emerging defence tech not just a 💥'Big Bang that pumps money into govt-defence nexus.

Something I've now heard from federal worker constituents at several agencies: Musk and Trump's mass firings are clearing out all personnel from FOIA offices and leaving them completely empty, it sounds obviously intentional.

Former Japanese Ambassador to Ukraine, Matsuda Kuninori, warned at a press conference yesterday that "if a fair and lasting peace is not achieved [...] another country could start a war of aggression in Eastern Asia" & stressed that Japan must be involved in discussions on ending the war in Ukraine

I hope it goes without saying that this goes doubly for purged military officers

Democrats are fundamentally misunderstanding the moment: We're not asking them to be *legislators* right now. We need them to be *politicians.* There's nothing to be done about the legislative situation. They're right about that. But there's PLENTY to be done as politicians.

For those who don't know, Kim is the main scholar of autocratic legalism on the planet

Since August 2015 I've been demonstrating how Trump is a Useful Idiot, asset or agent of influence of fascist Russia. Trump-for-President and elite capture of the Republican Party are Russian active measures that were tested in Ukraine with Yanukovych and the Party of Regions.

NEW — 19-year-old DOGE engineer Edward Coristine turns out to be the grandson of former KGB spy Valery Martynov, who played a role in a sprawling 1980s espionage saga. www.jacobsilverman.com/p/prominent-...

NEW PIECE: On the shorter side for my recent writings, I take a chance to step back and return to the big picture. Why should we care if the Trump administration, and Musk's DOGE, are acting unconstitutionally? The answer is not as simple as it might seem. www.crisesnotes.com/why-should-w...

FT: "Ukraine to sign critical minerals deal ‘in the very short term’, US claims" Ukraine, don't! Trump works for Putin, not for you or the West! www.ft.com/content/f4e1...

"During the meeting, Ukraine was told it faced imminent shutoff of the Starlink service if it did not reach a deal on critical minerals, said the source, who requested anonymity to discuss closed negotiations." Astonishing betrayal of an ally. www.reuters.com/business/us-...

Agreed. @indivisible.org, the protests need a demand. Before it was drawing attention to cuts and freezes and ignoring court orders, stopping Cabinet appointments, and whipping up a national movement. Trump and Musk must be removed from power immediately.

Trump's KGB name is Краснов (Krasnov). We should begin to call him Агент Краснов (Agent Krasnov).

Why is the article gone (404)?

For Europe, supporting Ukraine is a matter of security and stability on the continent. Keeping Ukraine strong means keeping a strong, battle-hardened army with real combat experience - the second largest in Europe. Ukrainian army can become a reliable ally in a defense union⤵️

Oh fuck, what a grift. J6 terrorists sue a DOJ controlled by Trump; Trump orders DOJ lawyers to settle for an undisclosed amount, both sides agree to an NDA. This can happen dozens, hundreds of times. Just an ingenious way to funnel tax dollars to far-right terrorist groups.

Anecdotal European stuff: I have spoken to a few Italians about the US “situation” lately and all are pretty much asking themselves the same question: where are the American opposition leaders? Where are Obama, Harris, Biden? Their absence is as horrifying as the acts of the current administration.

True that the silence of establishment (much less progressive) opposition leaders in a moment like this is truly exceptional in comparative context. Perhaps a function of the still-powerful yet misplaced sense of American exceptionalism that still dominates elite circles.

Yes! Read @craigunger.bsky.social “Kompramat “ and”house of Putin, house of Trump”. l.smartnews.com/p-j351SFc/2O...

Correction: Trump’s Russian agent name is NOT “Agent Orange.” It is “Krasnov.” www.thedailybeast.com/former-intel...

I wanted to comment on this new piece on how firing bureaucrats ➡️ dictatorship. This is important research & you should read it. BUT, it is focusing mainly on cases where dictators succeeded. Are there important differences between these cases & the US? A 🧵 👇 theconversation.com/firing-civil...
