Trump: "JD, stop fidgeting. You’re embarrassing us!" Musk: "Yeah, JD, this isn’t X, and you’re not trending." JD: "Can I at least have dessert?" Trump: "Not until you apologize for calling me Hitler." Musk: "And forget about a SpaceX tour—child locks are on"

I'm sure this is a beautiful view, Tyler, but I can't see it with that damn mountain in the way.

Now that Bluesky is blowing up, it's attracting some trolls. On average, though, people do a pretty good job of not engaging with them. Bluesky also gives you the tools as a poster to hide replies yourself.

More concerning is this: "After the LA Times published a piece about Elon Musk that carried a headline owner Patrick Soon-Shiong didn't like, a new rule was implemented: Prior to publishing opinion stories, headlines must be emailed to Soon-Shiong"

For the record, I don't support what happened today. However, I absolutely understand how our system could, and inevitably would, break someone to that point. Disenfranchising people of their right to medical treatment in the name of ever-increasing profit margins is the core issue here.

When you find yourself nodding in agreement and pretending to understand your boss/coworker's constant use of acronyms, you know you've made it professionally.

It can be important to separate the art from the artist. The book is well-written... and a pretty interesting blend of autobiography and sociological analysis. To say nothing of his politics now, I enjoyed the book. Will follow to hear about your final judgment!

Step 2 Remove the pan from the heat and carefully add the egg. Do not stir; pull the noodles over the egg and let sit for one minute to poach. Step 3 Carefully transfer everything to a serving bowl, add the butter, cheese and sesame seeds and mix. Garnish with the scallions if desired.

Step 1 Bring 2½ cups of water to a boil in a small saucepan. Add the noodles and cook for 2 minutes. Add the flavor packet, stir, and continue to cook for another 30 seconds.

Further investigations reveal 'Real Madrid' translates to 'Royal Madrid', shocking millions who thought it was just fancy branding.

No amount of new evidence will change the fact that we are made of atoms, that life evolves over time, or that microscopic organisms cause disease. They are all observed facts, but they are also explanations rather than mere observations.

The mark of good science is falsifiability, so you aren't wrong. The issue is that while anyone 'can' disprove them, they haven't. In fact, the evidence for evolution, atomic theory, relativity, and germ theory is overwhelming and we rely on aspects of them every day.

Much like film, astrophotography is made in post. These are still exceptional!

This is good advice, but I can't recommend enough that libraries across the country participate in telescope rental/loaning programs, and this is a great way to support your local library at the same time! (librarytelescope.org/world/usa/).

What model of drone do you record with? I recently picked up the hobby after purchasing a DJI FPV, but I've been fairly apathetic about doing anything with pre-recorded footage at this point...

Not religious, but grew up going to Catholic schools so I thought I'd say something. Aside from the completely baseless assertion that Kamala was a "call girl", this use of language to demean her reminds me of the Pharisee and the Prostitute (Luke 7:36-50).
