I don't really want to work for Tencent or Blizzard or any studio of that caliber. I'd rather keep Game Dev as a hobby than have it be the chain around my neck that allows me to pay my bills.

I realized that when I was listening to a podcast about people that claimed to be abducted by UFOs and every description of an alien was described in how it resembled an alien from a movie.

I have been playing through them, but stalled out recently with Windwaker. I do kind of love how Ocarina handles its progression and there are shortcut and teleports everywhere. I yearn for a game that is well designed and has a full world to explore.

I guess I should do something game related. A lot of people have strong feelings about AI art and I feel I always need to add the caveat that I'm not a techno bro that wants to replace all artists. Professionally, the only use I have found for it is retyping data sets in a different format.

I unfortunately have not. I have been spending a lot of time making NPC cards for a ttrpg game. I was using AI a lot, which is my I haven't felt comfortable posting any of it. This one I painted over and made it modular. Its supposed to be a Space Miner.

Now that Im done writing this cyberpunk ttrpg campaign, I should go back to writing my dark science fiction cyberpunk book. Its fine because no one will ever read it and it will just be something I keep eternally writing more mateiral for.

I've been using emulation, but I've also been a weirdo who wants to play the original versions and not the remasters. A group of nerds decompiled OoT and Majora's Mask, but I don't know where to get it. A buddy got me a copy.

I don't want to look too much into the games I have yet to player, but this appears to mostly a OoT/Windwaker thing. Earlier games where still refining what the concept of the triforce and later games seem to have mostly abandoned it. The new one appear to never even say the word.

I know link also has never really had any agency and is always thrust into adventure by necessity, but it feels like all these ancient spirits are callously withholding information and knowingly guiding him into a life of sacrifice for their own selfish benefit. I guess this is always the case.

I understand this is a video game for children and what I want from this is somewhere in between Ocarina and Dark Souls, which is probably what Breath of the Wild is.

Almost everything except the combat improvements feels a
like a step in the wrong direction. I will say, while I have always been hostile to the art style, the series definitely needed it in retrospect. Maybe I'll feel different when I beat it.
