Yup

I think this is the whe Internet's weekly allowance of swears in one short video about the oxygen thief Donald J Trump, his betrayal of Western values, and thodious pack of has-beens that amplify his every word. And it's all spot on. https://youtu.be/Jk0nUUqG_Ag?feature=shared

This is how you do it. Other news agencies like Axios and CBS, stop rolling over! Grow a spine, stand up straight and fight!

Another day, a other petition. I've just signed "Marks & Spencer - stop advertising on GB News" - Will you support the campaign too? https://actionstorm.org/petitions/marks-spencer-stop-advertising-on-gb-news?ref=699086 @StopFundingHate

What more evidence do we need? Privatisation has been a disaster. ✉️ Mail - pay more, get less 🚰 Water - pay more, get less ⚡️Energy - pay more, get less 🚌 Transport - pay more, get less The only people who get more are the fat cats at the top. www.theguardian.com/business/202...

Talk of a "Feb 28 Economic Blackout" is spreading on social media.

I've been seeing lots of super compelling videos of park rangers and federal lawyers and other federal workers telling their stories. Talking about what they did at their job, how it helped the American people, and why they want to keep doing those jobs. This is the way.

Scrap austerity – tax the super-rich instead Britain can’t rebuild with more cuts – a wealth tax on the richest is the fair alternative to funding public services and growth yorkshirebylines.co.uk/business/eco...

"I will litigate to defend voting rights until there are no cases left to bring. I will speak out against authoritarianism until my last breath." @marcelias.bsky.social responds to Elon Musk's recent criticism of him. Read Marc's full letter to Musk below.

It matters that scientists speak out against what is being done to US science. Staying silent is neither "objective" nor "staying out of politics". Silence now *is* political - it supports the status quo, says "nothing to worry about". We need to sound the alarm. www.nature.com/articles/d41...

I'm going to post this video every day so we never forget what Trump did.

Eager Trump cheerleaders Tim Montgomerie & Niall Ferguson claim to be shocked by Trump's alignment with Putin. Which suggests that if you want "political commentary" informed by any understanding of reality, you'd be wise to avoid anything in the pages of the Spectator, Daily Mail or Telegraph.

“Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!”

There's a rumour that Nigel Farage is keeping his head down because he's off to a Trump cheerleading conference over the weekend. I’m afraid I’m being proved right- Farage is far more interested in Trump's success than British security. He is a bootlicker and a plastic patriot.

Freedom of Movement was robbed from us by a successful Russian influence operation and the worst abuses of democracy in modern British history. Please repost if you want it restored.

Indeed it does.

Forceful displacement is absolutely a war crime. It's a breach of the Fourth Geneva Convention. #newsnight

Not one reporter had the presence of mind to ask Musk if he’s abiding by the court order limiting his access to the Treasury’s payment systems, or if he has destroyed any social security numbers/other records from the system DOGE may have procured. Guard rails evaporating hourly in Washington.

Spread the message!

Donald Trump said he’d return decision making to democratically elected officials. Instead, he’s handed it over to the world’s richest man, @dgraham.bsky.social writes.

On LBC this morning, I spoke about why we should be far more worried the power Elon Musk is accruing, especially in light of his Open AI moves. The normalisation of his actions and activity by quite a bit of the US and even UK media is a big part of the problem. www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGnt...

here's today's post: "Donald Trump has replaced the Rule of Law with the Rule of Because Fuck You, That’s Why" — because who’s going to stop him? thanks for reading, and please sign up for my daily newsletter so you never miss a post —

It is shocking that none of this gets reported by the mainstream U.K. media. Labour & Starmer are far from perfect & there’s lots of stances they have currently that I disagree with but all of these initiatives are positive things that will make life better in this country. People need to be told!

The first answer contains my stat of the week... In the 20 days since Trump took office, 41 different legal cases have been launched against his administration. So far, none have lost.

Interestingly, in Loper Bright vs Raimondo, the conservative majority on SCOTUS ruled just last year that the judiciary can in fact overrule regulatory decisions made by the executive branch especially when those decisions are not specified by Congress.

Banks raking in £30bn from interest rate ruse “As interest rates rose from rock-bottom levels, High Street banks profited. They put up mortgage & loan costs faster than they have increased rates for savers and pocketed the difference” Why can’t we stop this? www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/saving...
