I do too. I don’t know why it gets the hate that it does, at least from the people I know.

We got Snoop on the Stoop 🤣 he usually comes Thanksgiving night, but he came the day before because he had the munchies.

I never said it wasn't. I said Jobs's legacy was the iPhone and his masterpiece. I could never have done it. I never said I could have. 🤓 All I said is that it took a visionary to put the existing pieces together. Those pieces were still there before the iPhone came around, just in different ways.

As I stated...The iPhone, which was based on earlier cell phones, was Jobs's masterpiece. Jobs was a master at combining existing parts and technologies. The technology was already available; he simply put it all together. He took a cell phone, merged it with an iPad, and added a touchscreen.

Let's not go down the path where people start thinking that science is not important. Writers and poets are not scientists because they wrote books and science fiction adventures. 🥴

What? That's not my argument at all. I'm not stating that since writers literally "thought" up of a concept that appealed and sold to a mass audience, that they are the forefathers. I'm simply saying that the technology you mentioned has been around and has been built on over the years.

mRNA in '89, human genome was from '84-03, qt computing in '94. So no breakthroughs, but better understanding and building on in the last 20-40yrs.

One of my 2018s were trashed five years ago when my new puppy got them. So, these are a welcome addition back into the collection.

Thank God someone got the sneaker part right. I will die defending the term "scalper" instead of the community's preferred term "reseller." 🙄

I do the same thing. My wife just doesn't get it.

Jackie Brown is hands down QT's best film. Also, this post has the best-used ALT text I've seen on this app. Not only do I wish more would use it, but I wish those who do would use it to the degree of the OP. This helps low-vision users understand & visualize the picture they may not be able to see.

It had a great score, too, if I remember the music correctly.

Loved it. It took a very simple premise and executed it brilliantly. The lighting, direction, and location—everything was just spot-on for the type of film and story. My favorite part and character? The music—the way the music literally played as dialogue, gave tension and ease, was amazing.

I tried many times, too. I just wasn't ready. I had to have a rude awakening with myself before I came to the realization I needed to stick with it. I'm so happy you're on this journey and taking the steps necessary to continue keeping your sobriety going. It's hard.

Thanks. I am, but there are still times when it's really hard. I'm still working through it 10yrs later, and like you said, one day at a time. Only thing I consume is caffeine (pepsi or tea).

It's been 10yrs as of last Thursday for me. Congrats on currently making it on this journey. Yes, one day at a time, for sure.
