I, too, hear electricity. And surveillance systems around jewelry counters. Ultrasonic humidifiers make me nauseous. I remove all the tags in my clothes, and I hate squishy or fatty meat.

That's some prime void loaf you've got there...

Partner does a folder for each species, per year. The image files have timestamps so they're automatically sorted by date (partner uses Linux, btw). Then within Each species folder is the edited folder, so he knows which files have been touched and which not.

I want to know where to get one of those fleeces, the Kugelprinzessin would love it.

Oh no. I'm so very sorry, but at the same time glad you have this time. Smooches for her and tell her she is Best Cat for me.

🥰🥰I still haven't seen a boreal chickadee! They apparently hadn't come south yet when we were there.

My sister had what was probably a shepherd/chow mix, plus something else that gave her black and tan floof. Please smooch Lucy and Greyson for me and tell them I love them. ❤️❤️

Relatedly, have you seen the Bog visitor center feeder cam? Lots of purple finches through the day. www.youtube.com/live/2wYrMqa...

Canada jays are illegal levels of cute. I am assured that if we venture into the Canadian wilderness (the forested part, presumably) during the summer and stand there holding out hot dogs, we will be mobbed by Canada jays.
I am contemplating modifying an old bike helmet to hold multiple hot dogs.

We saw some deer but those aren't even a dime a dozen in MN. #2 got to see his Canada jays (he was getting very pouty as the morning wore on and we had seen no jays yet) and also gentleman purple finches (which really ought to be called raspberry pink finches) but Moosequest continues.

Possibly both?
I and #2 went up to the Bog after new year's, to see what we could see. Lots of owls, but the several moose (meese? moosen? mooses?) (moozoog is the algonquin plural so I've been using that) reported in the area did not materialize. I was sad because I wanted to get a photo for you.

Now we clearly need examples of floofy dogs and naked cats, in similar positions, to compare. FOR SCIENCE!!

Cats do the same thing but somehow it's cuter when they do it. Maybe it's the floof?

I have a built-in flower box as part of the front steps. I gave up on flowers and now I just put multiple kinds of thyme in it.

Depends on the zone - here in the environs of the Twin Cities in MN, it doesn't survive the winter outside. The mother of thyme, though, is still trucking along just fine.

It's especially good for chicken sandwiches since chicken breast is so touchy when pan cooked. But sous vide steak makes excellent sandwiches. With my extra ribeye leftovers I sliced it evenly and frizzled briefly on a hot griddle.

We call them "chicken ducks" because I mis-read Merlin's quick description once. I love them, they're so dorky.

I am a huge fan of daylight bulbs. Much less eye strain.
As part of the redecorating planned for my room I want a nifty ceiling fixture but that's for Future Me to figure out. Current Me is still working on moving the sewing room back into the sewing room.

#2 has TERRIBLE home decor taste and deliberately replaced half of the ceiling fixtures with mushroom blorbs.

I have kept the junk drawer scissors from disappearing by leaving them in the same place on the counter, weirdly enough. When they were IN the drawer they wandered all over the damn house.

It didn't originally make sense to me but while I was aligning everything on the circs...suddenly *bing!* it all made sense and my brain went OH! SO THAT'S HOW IT WORKS!
