Anyone still buying art and silly little things made by artists when shit’s this scary are the goat. I could honestly cry every time I get an order if I think about it too much, little guys are the epitome of a non essential and you guys still like them enough to buy them anyways 🥹🥹🥹😭😭

Working on my P&L for 2024 last night so I can file my taxes. Discovered that I signed up for 44-45 market events last year and paid almost $2000 in table fees. 🫣

You are allowed to feel joy. Yes, even now. Joy is resistance.

I’m getting tired of white folks framing immigration as “who is going to clean your house and take care of you garden” (literally heard this on CNN today.) How about we refer to Brown folks as our neighbors, coworkers, community members and friends.

I've seen a few folks say this but just as a reminder, if someone has already laid the groundwork in your community, even if their scale is small, it's much better to get behind them and push than to start a brand new thing from scratch.

I do think it’s super important right now and in the foreseeable future to really value moments of joy and to be intentional about making as many of them as you can

Ok, I’ve seen this twice today here from white folks who live in the US, so it needs to be said. The people who live in Gaza? They are not Gazans. They are Palestinians who live in Gaza. It’s okay to say the word Palestinian. Referring to them otherwise is just another form of erasure. Thanks.

If you're doing life well, you'll always be in a process of learning and unlearning.

I have solidly landed myself on the embroidery side of RedNote and I’m seeing so many cool stitches that I’ve never seen before. How cool is that. 🤩

How was church today? Did anyone respond to last week’s outburst?

✨🌈 The more you know 🌈✨

We made it thru this week. Great job. Proud of you. Now for some free advice from Aunt Mo: If you are in touch w folks via DMs on any platform, DISCUSS NOTHING IMPORTANT THERE. If you ever want to discuss (via text or call) anything that is sensitive/personal at all, I am begging you: USE SIGNAL

@bloodmagicbitch.bsky.social You’re herrrrrrre. 🤩🥰🥳

Getting a library card is punk as fuck and free!

Trump has deployed active military to help round up migrants and put them into detention camps. The military forced us out of our homes at gunpoint in 1942 because we were considered possibly disloyal Americans. They sent us to internment camps for four years. History is repeating. Pay attention.

Here’s some art for these trying times.

The reason A.I. is being shoved down our throats is shareholders want a return on their investment. Every company that integrates this crappy tech into their products knows you don't want it, but they've sunk too much money into it and don't care. Turn it off, don't use it, don't look back.

Still here, still trans, still a woman, and no executive order will ever change that.

Make sure you buy banned books. Get a library card and borrow banned books. Read banned books.

I saw posts about it being difficult to procure the Target edition of Onyx Storm today. I am honestly surprised the waitlist in Libby for this audiobook was not a mile long. I was able to check it out! 🤩

Finally starting to work on my new collection. I started with this fabric because I love the colors. 🥰😍Immediately regretting all my life choices because the navy blue fabric makes it super hard to see the blue line I drew for the border of the earrings. 😩😭

Anyone else struggling to make art today/this week? Tap in! Maybe we can help each other out.

Hey @skylight.social! Really excited about the prospect of your existence and I hope deaf and disabled people can be part of the testing process. If it's not accessible, it's not finished! ✊🏼 (Click to expand video and see CC)

I love this so much! At the inauguration, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson wore a distinctive collar adorned with cowrie shells, which are believed to offer protection from evil in African traditions. This choice mirrors the late Justice Ginsburg’s practice of using collars to convey a message.

If you haven't already, today is a good day to go get your library card.

An invitation to familiarize yourselves with the block button on all platforms. ❤️
