Well, he definitely can't go now... he'd probably be shot on sight.

And then, just to make sure he plays all the hits, he lashes out at a journalist because she's from the CBC. One of the worst economic days in our history and #Poilievre is out there settling scores. He's Just Not Ready. #cdnpoli

We're just trying to point out the most probable loophole they'd use. And anyone that thinks that the current SCOTUS wouldn't drive a motorcoach right through this hasn't been paying attention

I pretty much guarantee that Bannon or Miller thought of this during the first term. Nobody is giving them ideas.

My reading of the amendments makes me think it will probably work. I keep seeing people claim that "the language is plain" that he's ineligible. But the plain language only says he cannot be elected. "Cannot serve" and "cannot be elected" are not synonyms in any dictionary I'm aware of.

"What trillion-dollar problem is AI trying to solve?" Wages. They're trying to use it to solve having to pay wages.

Yup, all of the left wing should make like they want to keep the electoral college. When the the Tangerine POTUS gives you a gift, use it.

Dana Carvey been back for about 1 sketch per episode this season so far. Surprised he wasn't added to credits.

Wow. Incredibly telling. Considering that during a few election campaigns she pretty much lived on CBC News Network... running from a CBC reporter like that is big.

750,000 people, including myself, live in Winnipeg, where we have the largest temperature swing of any major population centre in the world. Record High: 42.2°C / 108.0°F Record Low: −47.8°C / −54.0°F Do we sound like a rational, stable population?

The point is, no one that does the crimes that Hunter did ever gets prosecuted to this extent, if at all. It was a political hit job.

The left in Canada is: A) much larger than in America, the Conservatives only win when the left splits among parties B) further to the left. By Canadian standards the Democrats are a centre-right party. Annexing Canada would be GOP political suicide.

Canadians are known as kind, polite people most of the time, but try to invade Winnipeg in January and you'll find out how mean and belligerent we can get. Some of the meanest, craziest soldiers of the previous world wars came from Canada. We got a bit of a reputation back then.

I'm not that worried. He doesn't even have 50% of the voting population supporting him. His own military would turn on him if he tried that sort of shit. There's more chance of California and New York seceding than of Canada being forcibly annexed.

I guarantee that this is me: 100% bison wearing glasses.

Alaska used to be part of Russia, not Canada.

At that point, Idaho might as well be overtaken also. And Nebraska should watch its back.

So, can the city just not budget for the necessary construction to remove the bike lanes, or has he tied their hands?

You should sign up a second Bluesky account called "Jeff's Misplaced Optimism" and import them to there.

Every choice Elon has made since "buying" Twitter has been proof that he has never understood what Twitter was. He's pretty much removed every function and protection that made the site useful.

I feel like being found guilty of disobeying a court order is a bad omen for King. Judges generally do not like it when people show disrespect for the court.

Once their IT and social media teams catch up, I suspect they will be.

Seems like it's a completely random distinction. If the production has all the "receipts" to prove they qualify as Canadian content, then they ARE Canadian content. I suspect this is more about not becoming fodder for the Poilievre rage farming.

LOL Got it!

Why exactly would the general public need you to be verified? Is funpotatomail a person or organization of popular note? Nobody needs to verify my sad ass either... I'm not a "known" celebrity. The entire original point of the blue checks on Twitter were for people to verify the famous

Exactly. Jagmeet should be using @JagmeetSingh.NDP.ca as a handle. I'm assuming we'll see this happen as more social media teams figure out the platform.

I would argue that most people or organizations that would need to be "verified" do have websites. Actors and musicians generally have an official site, and most journalists and business people have organizations with websites behind them.
