Day 2, Tijuana. I had an amazing breakfast of huevos rancheros & champurrado, (a milky melted chocolate breakfast drink). We spent time at the cultural center and market, and ate at the famous Caesar's Restaurant, where the famous salad was invented just over one hundred years ago by Caesar Cardini.

Day one in Tijuana. First stop: Deported Veterans Resource Center. All these veterans were in the US legally, served and were discharged honorably, but got into trouble with the law (most struggle with addiction in attempting to deal with PTSD) and were deported.

I am back in the US after a brief but incredibly full trip to Tijuana where we met with deported US veterans and migrants, toured shelters and learned how we can support our migrant siblings. Also had the best Mexican food. I'll share more later. #worldwithoutwalls

I grew up in a military family. There are tons of military spouses who are probationary federal workers because of moving every 2-3 years. They're now getting mass fired despite Trump's own EO in 2018 to get more military spouses working for the federal government. He's screwing military families.
