Sure..I take the David Conn view...in an ideal world you don't want AD owners of your club but they are v good at running it/great custodians..also more exposure to the global economy will bring forward social and political change. I would much prefer them to Musk, who apparently wants to buy LFC.

The Super League City envisaged pre 2020 was v different to the one that the red cartel pushed for and created..the idea of no relegation is very American. We have too many US owners who will ruin the league once they get past 14 clubs...we need a strong independent regulator to curb their power!

According to the Sunday Times and people i know at JPM...they weren't involved in the planning...only joined at the end and, with CFC, left straight away. We need a regulator as otherwise US owned teams will ruin the league, play games in US, make thibgs worse fir fans etc

Not sure that is true...many reputable papers (with good relationships at MC) have stated that the first they knew of this ESL was on the Friday before it was announced. They had to support it as the money was so big. Ask anyone who will talk to you at MC. Were they at the meetings with JPM..no!

So why are you then arguing that City would not support an independent regulator. They want a system that is fair. How can the PL have ever agreed to zero interest loans being acceptable re PSR. It's clearly unfair on some teams. Have you written about this form of financial doping? It's shocking!

They signed up on the Friday before it was announced as they were kept in the dark b4..the directors really had no choice as they would be neglecting their duty of care given the huge money involved. Some papers had pictures of the red cartel plotting to set it all up in NYC & enlisted JPM to help.

We are all equal but some are more equal than others! Look at the history of the ESL...teams (in that case LFC AFC and Mu) colluded etc..same in PL

have you actually asked City what their view is or is your relationship with the club so bad that that is pointless?

Are you claiming that certain clubs don't have more influence eg LFC and MU had a say in who was PL head! As for the 14 votes...that hasn't stopped them from issuing rules (eg APT) that are not fit for purpose (how could they agree that allowing interest free loans is not financial doping!

Do you have any contacts at City? Pretty sure they would prefer a fair independent regulator to the PL regulating their own league with significant bias towards certain red teams!

Surely no one really believes that now! Oil states have to diversify away from fossil fuels by building investment portfolios. If It was really about sportswashing why has Mansour sold 25pct to Silverlake.

Why are you so concerned about state ownership? Do you know how much leverage a huge US PE firm can get eg CFC spent $1bio, or a tech owner (eg Musk wanting to buy LFC). Surely the key is the biz model the owner follows...Mansour wants to max long term profit...no different to US owners really!

And yet Spurs will play like 1970 Brazil when they play us in a few weeks!

If the article is right, it would be the perfect window! Amazing for January..also would suggest that City are v confident of the outcome of the tribunal 🤞

But no mention of the elephant in the room - Brexit. Rejoining the single market would be a starting point in reversing the damage caused by the Tories botched deal - and provide an immediate boost to the economy.

£27Bio lost trade in 2022 alone..
According to the uni of Aston, the decline in real exports (10pct) will get worse as time goes on. Big increase in bureaucrats (50k customs men, replicate reg bodies like EMA/EBA)..economy only afloat cos of massive brexit increase in immigration to 1mio a year!

Rejoining the SM/CU will get the economy moving again and make it much easier to sort outvthe problems you mention....as it is, we are headed for austerity 2 which will make things a whole lot harder for the poor.

it will be v tough especially as the new CL format makes things more complicated. We need 3 players but they have to be City level quality.
