It is truly amazing how much of the US right now is driven by people who don't know how science works being conned by people who also don't know how science works but are willing to lie with gusto about it. To be fair, some of these people don't know how *anything* works.

Correction: on November 5, we'll no longer have to listen to anyone ranting about the "Immigrant Crisis". Until the next election cycle, at least. Strange how it only seems to be a crisis at particular times.

As someone not in the business, I always feel like I'm getting a very genuine warts-and-all look behind the curtain. It's certainly made me more appreciative and sympathetic for the folks behind the scenes.

That reminds me of the person who said if they wanted a question answered online, they'd post the question, log into an alt account, and then post an obviously wrong answer. Because people were more likely to jump in and correct the wrong answer than to help answer the original question.
