the battle system was fun but I felt that the overall gameplay was the worst part of it. I could live with the nothing story of exploration was good, the level design is just so bad and the toad hunting missions felt constant and boring

I think that’s unfair. They’ve had reviews that are wrong before that are likely the result of working conditions that don’t allow the critics to fully digest what they played. Industry bad, individual reviewers good intelligent people
