Additionally, Canada, Mexico, Europe etc are not going to sit passively by, victims of Trump’s whims. They’re going to start reducing their exposure to the US, which can no longer be trusted. We used to talk about “de-risking” from China. But, the world now needs to protect itself from the US!

🚨🚨 #Russianassets: I cannot say I am shocked anymore but these incredibly evil, nasty and cowardly betrayals by #Trump administration is getting just worse by the day. 🧵 www.politico.eu/article/dona...

🚨🚨 This. This. This. Tweet of the day by one of the most inspiring leaders of Europe today. As with EU Foreign policy chief @kajakallas.bsky.social there is a real recognition that their countries must directly contribute to the Ukrainian war effort, not witnessed among other EU politicians.

This is how you tell who Trump’s constituents are. bsky.app/profile/juli...

I can't believe Big Balls, the Douche and Tommy Tuna could make a mistake like this, given their combined year of work experience.

Trump's in full retreat today as his poll numbers slip: He convened the cabinet to limit Elon after voters pressured Congress. He delayed the tariffs b/c the market dropped out & created fears of a recession. He's losing in court b/c DOGE didn't follow the law. Keep fighting.

Bleak new @trusselluk.bsky.social / @yougov.co.uk research that'll only make some Labour MPs feel more uneasy about the prospect of significant welfare cuts this spring Write-up by @nadinebh.bsky.social

Another big insult to countries, like the UK, who did exactly this and fought and died alongside the US after 9/11

Zelensky has not refused to negotiate. He has refused to surrender to a murderous dictator who has illegally invaded his country youtu.be/HpmDquOkSCY?...

Are we really going to do the 'they didn't die of Covid, they died with Covid' shtick again? Yes, I suppose we are.

😬

I don't really have sympathy for Jeffries and co. telling everyone "we have no power here, stop being mad at us" with Trump — that's definitionally true, but it's very hard for ordinary people to square that with the constant fundraising texts they get bombarded with.

His answer to "are tariffs bad for stocks" was basically "a lot of the stocks are jews" bsky.app/profile/atru...

THAT'S THE ENERGY WE NEED

Again, given the way DOJ keeps asking for delays, I think there's good reason to wonder whether the DOGE boys broke something at USAID and they're trying to buy time to put it back together again.

Oh no. You abysmal fools. You couldn't get any further from what the BBC is supposed to be.

You can tell who had advance notice of this by who invested heavily in popcorn stocks this morning.

“ill-thought-out”, “insane” and a “bizarre diversion” 'Local authorities preparing to cut local services from April while increasing council tax that could put up to 19 town halls into effective bankruptcy over the next year' www.theguardian.com/society/2025... Thread on why UK is being privatised

Just incredible.

Musk: I’m going for a walk. I may be some time.

Senators are asking the DC Office of Disciplinary Counsel to look into the torrent of abnormal and rule-shattering statements Jan. 6 organizer Ed Martin has issued since Trump gave the conservative activist his first-ever prosecutorial job: DC US Attorney. www.judiciary.senate.gov/imo/media/do...

Sometimes, there’s a man. I won’t say a hero, ‘cause what’s a hero? But sometimes, there’s a man.

@repjasmine.bsky.social: "It's not the trans people who made you lose your job... who started a tariff war with Mexico or Canada or China... who are taking away the Department of Education... it's also not the immigrants. And it's definitely not the Black folk."

Over the last few weeks I've become completely incapable of answering the question 'how are you' like a normal human being. I just sort of end up staring emptily at the person. Like, how the fuck do you think I am? I am full of hate and horror and moral purpose. How are you?

Another unvaccinated child dies from measles, a fully preventable disease, and only the second child to die from measles in the US in the past 22 years

Once again, don't believe it until it happens, and sometimes don't believe it after it's happened.

Someone is making a fortune out of the market volatility caused by Trump’s crazy announcements and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if some of that money ends up in his personal bank account.

The question about the 2020 election is the sickest, apparently requiring job candidates to deny reality in order to be appointed. Dangerous, horrible stuff.

This sums up the madness. It doesn’t convey the very real stress and trauma on real people.

The man who issues threats daily and then immediately backs down from them has done it again. You better watch it, because next time he might really mean it.

Big news: Volodymyr Zelenskyy announces that Ukraine-US negotiations will take place next in Saudi Arabia. "The war must end as soon as possible, and Ukraine is ready to work 24/7 with our partners in the United States and Europe for peace."

Tarriffs last month, tariffs next month, but never tariffs this month. (With apologies to the White Queen in Alice through the Looking Glass.) www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cy...

The Republican Party is trying to implement a form of Trumpian Juche where the working-class is required to sacrifice their material conditions and well-being for the sake of the Dear Leader’s personality cult

Quite. So much (not all) of what is called “wokery” really involves what my grandmother would have called basic politeness: put yourself in their shoes and think about you’d like to be treated if you were them.

"The secretary of defense declined to comment for this story, with a spokesperson writing, 'We will not comment on internal deliberations.'"

BREAKING: A D.C. federal judge rules Trump’s firing of Gwynne Wilcox, chair of the National Labor Relations Board, was illegal. This marks the most recent ruling against Trump's unlawful terminations this week.

⚠️ “Ukrainians are to blame for the U.S. limiting their access to intelligence and ending support,” said U.S. special envoy Keith Kellogg. He claimed Zelensky was warned that “no one contradicts the U.S. president in the Oval Office” and that talks would happen only after a deal—“but he refused.

Yes. This is how universities must respond.

Brutal. 🔥

For all the TRUMP = STRONG propaganda this is *exactly* what his “leadership” was like in Covid. Constant zigging and zagging, self-contradictory, incapable of commitment, wanting to have it both ways. It was a disaster!

‼️ The U.S. is pressuring Ukraine to agree to a quick ceasefire with Russia as a condition for a minerals deal, per Bloomberg. Meanwhile, Russia faces no demand and can act like it wants, killing innocent people and continue their invasion. www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

Ukraine basically fighting Russia to a standstill with the West's leftover Cold War gear (+ drones, and artillery/missiles) is the clearest example of why this is obviously correct

I wouldn’t call that a major split, @politico.com - I’d say that was ‘Hungary isolated in opposing deal on arming Ukraine’.

❗️🇪🇺 Europe braces for confrontation: EU leaders have agreed on plans to allocate an additional €800 billion for defense. All EU members supported the decision—except Hungary. The funds also include investments in Ukraine’s defense industry. www.euractiv.com/section/poli...
