@govevers.wisconsin.gov great example of how to deal with state priorities while acknowledging that democracy itself is under attack. I think constituents can find it off-putting when politicians are speaking policy without directly and immediately identifying themselves in resistance to fascism.

Correct, but I need stronger language used. We're not concerned it will hurt farmers - it hurts farmers.

I just called Congressman Derrek Van Orden's local La Crosse office to rage about this, and the aide tells me it's not "real", actually. The Elon Musk Nazi salute, he claims, was also "debunked".
MAGA is a fascist-Nazi organization, and they're branding THEMSELVES that way.

The controversial Nazi salute, yes.

@govevers.wisconsin.gov I'm sorry, I support you, but this is tone def. We're under siege and the government is now trying to kill my mom by taking away her insurance, and take away family's veteran benefits. My PSLF is gone. I need you to respond to that. I'm worried about people in my state dying.

Correct. My disabled mother lives on less than 9k annually. These are not the people that are keeping most Americans living paycheck to paycheck. Maybe 🤔 it's actually the system created by the uber-rich to directly benefit the 1%?

The Bulwark did a nice piece about the cost of other news organizations sanctioning (continuing to attend these WH briefings) this behavior.

@baldwin.senate.gov yes!!! Keep getting in front of the camera. Get loud! Obstruct - obstruct - obstruct. Get WI organized...our rural communities don't have thriving dem alliances and we can do something if you organize.

But that space feels like it's shrinking. Of course, marginalized communities have always carried the weight of fighting for their right to EXIST, but now, more people are experiencing the kind of stress that stifles creativity. It’s hard to build when you’re constantly bracing for impact.

Well...like many Americans, I have family members that are only able to survive - like, live - due to Medicaid. So, he'd basically be killing many of our mothers and fathers...which, yeah...I think that would probably do it, the whole French Revolution remake.

Why would I email them? They state in the article they're not being included in any of the decisions, and that there is no transparency with congress? If they don't know they can't tell me. DOGE is the fraud they claim to be looking for hoyle.house.gov/media/press-...

But there are legal ways to do that. There's less destructive, vindictive, and partisan ways to do that.

Do yoi believe DOGE, who is operating with zero transparency, outside of the law, and without being elected or vetted, are who should be in charge of keeping fraud in check? My friend - they are the fraud. I think we would agree that it makes sense to have checks on all federal departments,

comment in response to

I want you to consider what it would mean if what they tell you, without much evidence, is actually a lie. What if, in fact, we are now actually just their ATM? DOGE isn't targeting the highest spending or most wasteful departments, they're targeting institutions they believe have dissent.

Republicans are backing Trump out of greed, or fear, or both. I can't donate money, but I can DO something. I'd love to hear leadership talk about what we, the people, need to DO to help support you.
