As a CA, I can confirm we can't. We would have to withhold federal $$ and keep it in-house to survive. Medi-Cal is 70% covered through federal $, only 30% is covered by the state. Very scary times. I worry when these get cut people are going to get desperate 😕

Three homeless folks live in my backyard. Others use our mailbox for their address. I worry about them every day. Some have serious health issues now under care, but if they lost Medicaid? We just don't know.

Exactly. You don't have to be on some kind of assistance to be affected. The private sector's biggest customer is the federal government. If they cut programs, they stop buying. If those dollars go away, lay-offs happen. No one will walk away unscathed.
