Boston has the opportunity to do the funniest thing ever

Between the generative AI plagiarism machine and the wholesale disappearing of data in the service of censorship, I think about Aaron Swartz being bullied via lawsuit to suicide and about the losers who got the Internet Library Emergency Archive shut down basically every day

Yes, in the perfect society there will be no cringe. But Marxism is not a utopian vision, but a process for abolishing the current state of affairs. No existing revolution can achieve perfection, therefore there can be no revolution without at least some cringe, and we must accept this.

Do not bring back extinct species. Do not build humanoid robots. Do not create artificial general intelligence. Stop it. Stop. Do a potluck or something instead.

my hope is that AI can empower the Dumbest, Least talented slobs i know to replace everything i ever loved with One Million Years of Content

The road to fascism is paved with bitches telling you “it’s not that serious”

a major issue with video games is that they produce a bunch of people who consider themselves brain geniuses for solving problems that were designed to be solvable. as a remedy, we should be making more games that are actively and irreconcilably hostile to the player. thank you

no trans woman ever took my nintendo

I must not be the first person to bring this up But there has never been a more vindicated guy

can we please use AI for central planning of global no-money economy and absolutely nothing else?

we already have abundance. we just need to chill the fuck out. and redistribute global wealth.

See a lot of people without degrees in economics sounding off now, which is fine because that’s not a real degree.

THIS NIGHTMARE WILL BE IN FULL COLOR

alright, no more joking around. butlerian jihad starts tomorrow

AI will fix this

It is 2002. I am 18 years old. We are in a once-in-a-generation economic crisis. It is 2008. I am 24 years old. We are in a once-in-a-generation economic crisis. It is 2020. I am 36 years old. We are in a once-in-a-generation economic crisis. It is 2025. I am 41 years old. We are in a—

ME: Used to be there was a thing called 'Pokemon Go.' The world was filled with those funny digital fellas. They're all gone now, like everything else. MY GEN ALPHA C/O: *checking his rifle breech and kissing the locket of the VTuber he keeps under his flak jacket* We go over the top in five.

You don't need an April Fool's Day when you're a fool every day.

get me to gods country

I look at the world and see nothing worth fighting for. I look at myself and recognize only weakness and failure, everything else deception. But then I look at an AI generated anime woman driving a cybertruck and I go dizzy from dopamine. Finally, happiness ! Infinite Rapture! Thank You God!

This ship has sailed, but I really wish we could stop calling it “artificial intelligence,” which it is not, and go back to calling it “a bunch of algorithms,” which is all it has ever been—and, most likely, all it will ever be (at least within our lifetime). Thank you.

Using “AI” to generate images is not equivalent to making art. It is equivalent to solving an NYT “Connections” puzzle and being rewarded with a picture of a hyper-realistic anime girl with too many fingers and dead, soulless eyes.

Animation is a caricature of life, not a lesser imitation of it. Remaking cartoons in live-action, or giving the characters realistic proportions, hairs, warts, etc., robs them of the stylized exaggeration that made them appealing in the first place.

There’s no such thing as A.I “art.” It’s a soulless amalgamation of plagiarised data. That is the antithesis of art.

"Empathy is a weakness" crowd is so funny. That's the meaning of life dawg. That's the one great and universal sense of joy. Playboy

i know this is a shitpost but i genuinely believe it

If you accept that non-citizens have no right to due process, you are accepting that citizens have no right to due process. All the government has to do is claim that you are not a citizen; without due process you have no chance to prove the contrary.

it is so important to stay in touch with your inner child, but it is also important to develop executive functioning skills

the constitutional crisis was 2000 when the Supreme Court handed the presidency to George W Bush, dang if only someone had done anything about that!

What if the secret to winning elections is somehow Trump's syntax. We need a guy to say stuff like "But we're going to abolish billionaires and we'll be doing it very soon. They'll be paying very high taxes but it'll be very fair. And frankly they haven't paid taxes in a very long time"
