Yes! 100% Also, Blocking the CR would have been strategically bad bc currently, Republicans, Trump and Musk are trending in the wrong direction. Their approval ratings are going down. Meanwhile, Republicans and voters can’t blame any of our country’s problems on Democrats. It’s a win-win.

What exactly do people expect them to do?

They didn’t cave on the budget. They caved on the continuing resolution, and for good reason.

Why should they do anything? The American people voted for this. Let it burn. Maybe when the Republicans' constituents feel the pain they will stand up.

Lol. This reminds me of when they set out to prove that social media has a left-leaning bias. Instead, they discovered that it has a right-leaning bias. Oops.

I would be careful with that. They’re looking for a reason to declare martial law.

are you saying that ALL concerns about immigration are rooted in racism?

True to an extent, but makes no difference electorally my friend. If they are concerned about it then Dems need to speak to those concerns. Dismissing their concerns as you do is pure folly. It’s why they end up voting for Trump.

Dems vy to represent middle and working class voters but fail to address those voters' concerns about illlegal immigration. Dems could greatly improve their electoral fortunes if they would ramp up the anti-illegal-immigration rhetoric. Further reading:

Please do not back down or come to their rescue. Let Republicans sit in their shitty Trump diaper and think about what they’ve done.

Another type of voter Dems can’t reach: the “no-information voter.” They consume little to no media, and instead form their opinion purely from the candidate’s popular identity. To them, Trump = outsider, successful, anti-immigration businessman, previous president under whom goods were cheaper.

They are pandering to conspiracy theorist voters. It’s actually quite smart. Almost everything Republicans say or do is optics and messaging designed to keep all of their voting blocs under the Republican tent.

They’re not stupid. They are pandering to conspiracy theorist voters.

I love AOC but I gotta agree, Connolly is better optics for the party. They need to bring back the swing voters not run up their numbers in deep blue districts.

The population of Hungary is 9.6 million. Don't get me wrong. I know Trump is going to try to be a dictator. But he's highly incompetent. He accomplished very little the first time he was president. He's a geriatric lame duck now and has no future with the party.

Yeah no. One wannabe dictator and a hundred or so of his cronies isn't going to change a county of 400 million living under a distributed government.

Or just move a little to the right on immigration. Lose a few voters in deep blue districts. Gain scores of voters in purple districts. Boom. Win elections easily.

Yes and I'm 100% here for it. It's like how MAGA votes against their own interests just to own us libs. I didn't vote against my interests, but I'm happy to watch MAGA get owned by their vote for Trump. It's a price I'm willing to pay for a front row seat to the schadenfreude show. 🍿

This is great, but it does nothing for the high cost of housing and medical care.

He accomplished very little in his first term. Permanent tax cuts for the rich and temporary tax cuts for the rest of us. That is all. He didn’t build a wall and make Mexico pay for it. He didn’t solve the illegal immigration problem. He didn’t make America great again. Whatever that means.

Her campaign was fine. Low-info swing voters went to Trump bc they viewed him as an outsider who would fix all of America’s economic problems and make China pay for it. Tough to compete against that level of ignorance and gullibility.
