Clever, but I feel bad for the workers who have to take them off. Also, Market Basket gives 93% of their corporate contributions to Dems, according to GoodsUniteUs. Maybe go make trouble like this at Publix or BJ’s wholesale…

A tone that, in itself, is a power play. The direct degradation and threat (and $300 billion) just isn’t enough for him to feel big.

Ok. You win.

Me too. It makes me sad to think they must succeed with some folks. Grifts everywhere you look these days.

HIS last week: Fostered more neo-eunuchs to code the coup, Played video games, Floated around on ketamine, Casually ruined thousands of lives, and signaled threats to many more, Posted constantly on Twitter to STIR his incel worshippers, Made another kid/human shield, Hired a lot more security.

Just grotesque monsters. We all get repeatedly blown away, and eventually remember the cruelty is the point. But I only just got that demonstrations of deterrent cruelty are the point - again, to get us all accustomed to degradation, loss, and submission.

Flat scrambling. I can’t imagine.

This is just mind blowing and *so* offensive coming from this rich kid who plays video games all day. I also read and wondered who’d read all these emails, until I realized it would be AI, or no one. It’s just a pretext to “for cause” justification for more mass, arbitrary firings.

He’s building his name on this low-effort, derivative provocation. And anything he doesn’t like, he says he doesn’t read, so eh.
comment in response to post
This is *all* happening because, somehow, a third of our country doesn’t know anything about anything. And they’re proud of it.

I was at those shows, in NJ even…but 30 yrs ago. I’m now a decorous-looking middle-aged lady, and the dumb old pun is right: they will *not* see what’s coming.

Oh! Information is power. Thanks!

Exactly - you know what has even more rough, more replete side effects? Chemo. But people understand that’s worth it. When he opens with “I’m sad” vs “I’m going to die,” it’s clear our lives are the joke.

Lecturing everyone, but especially stirring his fanbase of unstable and …weight-y incels.

Oh, but that’s critical thought. It’s been banned.

He’s shown over and over that he’ll do anything to meet his absurd ends. The “point” is that he’s going to use/abuse our info, destroy our economy, and withhold our benefits until we’re begging to submit. He has all the money, but his list for more power is limitless.

Their “revolving door” of justice, in action.

I live in WV. My children are on Medicaid bc my 35 year old husband died due to medical mal practice (currently in settlement phase) and we have been through enough trauma to last a lifetime, literally. This is incredibly triggering for me and I will fight this bullshit until my last breath.

Awful factoid that you may know & was just one event within the massive suffering in those killings. Giles Corey was the only man killed as a witch in Salem, and via a different means from the women and girls. He was “pressed” to death, with stones… See, DJT? - *that’s* a witch hunt.

You’re right, and thanks. Your insights above were powerful and offered great clarity.

I’m a total doomer, many days. But I still am calling/visiting offices, writing to corps under pressure, and I try to get my tiny circle of people to engage. I’m on a fixed income, but I’m giving all I can to legal orgs in the trenches. Even if doomers prove to be right, best to know we tried.

There are as many hateful, impressionable women as men. Lots of men adore him against their own self-interest, too. “I’m not like those [everyone in the exact same circumstances]. I, too, am totally jarred by strength in women! Let them burn. This barrage of grave threats don’t apply to me or mine.”
comment in response to post
“Nasty” It dismisses them as the worst things a woman can be, as far as he and MAGA are concerned. It contains all the shots that are nothing to the badass women he’s describing, but everything he and MAGA think should be damning: “bitchiness,” lack of femininity and desirability, dominance. Prick.

Exactly my thought. That makes him truly lose it. Pig.

Hero. They should do a parade in the streets for these folks.

I don’t know how to say “nicely done” in Latin. Maybe “nota bene” will do.

Sounds like a set-up that should promote solidarity and integrity, or at least peer pressure. Monstrous in any case.

Omg. A senior in a bachelor’s program. Really, I would keep that under wraps the next time you want to any credence.

This is empty and unhelpful, especially now. This is the kind of unexamined nonsense that gave us RFK Jr., who will cause illnesses and deaths.

The strategy is pure alchemy, to transform anti-science to “actual science.” This bs is laying the groundwork for more double-speak throughout the “assessment” and ban execution. Repeating these words is magic that will elevate quackery-based hearings/reports and legitimize the illegitimate.
comment in response to post
Now’s not a great time to try to undermine established medical science. Certainly not with vague assertions. It’s aggravating. If questioning your expertise and suggesting you take your own meaningless, gif-based counsel is a twitter-grade attack, I can live with that.
comment in response to post
We’ll breathe real deeply as we try to run away from RFKJr’s work camps of joy.
comment in response to post
Yeah, right back at you. But props on finding the most condescending gif ever made.

You make code and QA by day, and are an expert on psychiatric pharmacology in your free time? How…odd.

“Losers:” they don’t care about “losers” being happy. That group includes everyone but the 1%, and even they are SOL if they want their kids to be free of unnecessary dread diseases, or need to manage parents’ psychosis, or they get obesity and aren’t Trump. These things turn them into “losers” too.
comment in response to post
There are several drug classes and treatments for mental illness that have been consistently, scientifically shown to be effective, but where they still can’t totally figure out why. They don’t have the brain totally figured out yet. I can’t afford to care about anything but effectiveness & safety.
comment in response to post
I know my personal experience is not how science gets settled, but I’d be on the streets - maybe dead - without the antipsychotic/mood stabilizers I’ve taken to this point. Others are being threatened and harmed much, much worse from this and all the things being done by Trump, but yeah, this sucks.

I get what you’re saying, but there are a lot of lawyers for advocacy orgs, unions, and (blue) states’ attorneys offices letting this admin have it every way possible in court, with no end in sight. For now, if headway is being made at all to block this onslaught, it’s being made by good lawyers.

More worried about the deadly threats to children, for sure, but what I would give to be eligible for the shingles vax right about now.

I’m worried this threat will affect judges’ objectivity, too.

Can I give up hope yet? I know people say we shouldn’t, but somehow I think this crushed the last rays.
