The saltiest bathroom plug hole you’ve ever seen. We’ll be talking film, TV, and maybe just every now and then a bit of music. Circle the drain with me on Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/5C4h3

Half Snowpiercer and half Parasite sounds great right? Well it is. Mickey 17 is fun time that masks a pretty clear message from Bong Joon-Ho. Headed by a stellar Robert Pattinson, this one is really a must see. See my Letterboxd review below: boxd.it/94hiOb #filmsky 📽️

Now seated! #filmsky 📽️ #mickey17

Some films are just special. Ask me what the brutalist is really about and I probably couldn’t explain it. It’s just the story of a man. And it’s a fucking all timer and Brody deserves the Oscar he won last night. See my Letterboxd review below: boxd.it/902K2j #filmsky 📽️ #oscars

According to Keanu Reeves, John Wick is dead and so won’t be returning. My bet is a John Wick 5 where he fights his way out of literal hell because someone took a piss on his dog’ grave. Who says no? 🤷🏿‍♂️

Sing Sing is one of the most heartwarming and simultaneously heartbreaking films I’ve seen in years. A film that asks whether the arts can truly change lives, I would recommend Sing Sing to anyone and everyone. It’s fucking fantastic. See my Letterboxd review below: boxd.it/8YkCq1 #filmsky 📽️

‘The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep’ is a really well written story that provides some of the best action scenes anywhere within Witcher canon. Unfortunately it is pulled down by THE SINGLE WORST BRITISH ACCENT IVE EVER HEARD IN A MOVIE. See my Letterboxd review below: boxd.it/8XkoyB #filmsky 📽️

I just yelled ‘we are back’ so many times that I’ve had to sit down and catch my breath.

LISAN AL GAIB

Need a Sunday night film to beat the back to work blues? Hairspray (2007) is about as much fun as a musical can be. Bursting with bangers, big hair, and so much camp you’ll need a tent, hairspray is a damned good time! See my Letterboxd review below: boxd.it/8W5oxz #filmsky 📽️

I’ve loved the two types of modern horror movies: 1: Here’s a metaphor for generational trauma 2: What if your grandad was secretly Satan? Hereditary somehow managed to be both 😂

I really think the reception of Captain America: Brave New World would be so much better if they hadn’t shown red hulk in the trailer. It’s the climax of the movie! Honestly what were they thinking!

While it’s best moments are all shown in the trailer, and it’s main villain is paper thin, Captain America: Brave New World does the basics really well and is worth a view for any Marvel fan. See my Letterboxd review below: boxd.it/8S98c3 #filmsky 📽️

Fresh life has been breathed into my soul. God DAMN! #nolan #filmsky 📽️

This film broke my heart. A beautifully helmed exploration of identity, suppression, and pain, this is one everyone should take some time for. Each viewer will take something different away. See my review for ‘I Saw the TV Glow’ below: boxd.it/8Phgwz #filmsky 📽️

Sitting down for this one now - I haven’t really heard much about it, which seems to be a good thing! #filmsky 📽️

I’m genuinely pumped for the new fantastic four but… life without Jessica Alba’s Sue has been a painful existence these last 20 years. #fantastic4 #filmsky

I absolutely love this photo because look how damned happy Anne Hathaway is for him. Got to love seeing actors supporting actors 🤷🏿‍♂️

Nightbitch would have been better without the nightbitchyness. Remove the doggos and this could have been a fucking fantastic film 🤷🏿‍♂️ See my review below boxd.it/8HmNYT #nightbitch #film #filmsky projector

Karla Sofia Gascon remaining nominated for an Oscar after what has come to light is wrong in every way. Racists shouldn’t be rewarded. Two weeks ago I gave Emilia Perez 4 stars. Today I give it Gascon half a star. See my rant below: boxd.it/8GEid5 #emiliaperez #filmsky #karlasofiagascon 📽️

If you’re going to adapt some of the most beloved literature in recent history, please at least put in minimal effort. This film is one of the most disappointing that I’ve seen in a long time. See my rather angry Letterboxd review below: #filmsky 📽️ boxd.it/8FjAxB

Until somebody has a bigger Odyssey

Rewatched interstellar for the millionth time today. I think the scene where Cooper watches the recordings of his children is the single best bit of acting I’ve ever seen. That is all. Carry on. #filmsky 📽️

Saw this on a notice board at Whitechapel and was wowed by it. Using my small voice to shout out @letsdrawmore85 on instagram. Anyway back to film nonsense

I just realised Denzel didn’t get nominated for anything and I’m absolutely seething.

Trying to think objectively about what my favourite film of the year was. It’s between Wicked, long legs, Nosferatu (I know that’s this year) and conclave. Honestly I think it’s Conclave. I just think every part of it was perfect, no notes. Such an amazing piece.

I know I’m Nosfe-rambling on but if someone can find a link to this t shirt I will offer them a thousand blessings. I wish to succumb to the darkness.

I knew he wasn’t gonna get one, but would have loved to see a supporting actor nomination for Bill Skarsgård as Orlok. The things this man did to bring this character to screen are deserving of so much praise!

Film is subjective, and for me Emilia Perez is an important piece of film not for the issue you’re thinking about, but for the one woven in here that you haven’t heard about. Don’t let online noise stop you from making up your own mind on art. See my Letterboxd review below: boxd.it/8xFXYR 📽️

Another show I’m late to the party on, Shogun is one of the most uncompromising, gritty, and outright enthralling peeps into life in feudal Japan I’ve ever seen. Anchored by a beautiful performance from Anna Sawai, it’s a must watch. Check out my Letterboxd review below: boxd.it/8wIXvx #filmsky 📽️

Thank you, Mr Lynch.

David Lynch had some greats but honestly my favourite is ‘The Elephant Man’. I watched it at such a formative age when I was discovering how moving and serious film could be. He will be sorely missed. A legend of the arts.

I feel like I need to reiterate this as some of you punks don’t get it. If you come between me and my boy paddy I will flat out fight you. I would wade through the cold waters of the river Styx just for the chance to pull Paddington out of the fires of hell. #filmsky 📽️

I would flat out commit CRIMES for Paddington. He’s the heart of this movie that, whilst not quite living up to the genius of the first two, I still pretty damned great. I mean it. I would kill for him. See my Letterboxd review below: #filmsky 📽️ boxd.it/8rQT4j

I think the reason Apple TV is failing is because people like me log in, see 105 amazing new shows and then decide to go watch Shrek 2 for the on another platform anyway 🤷🏿‍♂️ #filmsky 📽️

Conclave is pretty fucking great. It’s a peek behind the curtain to a world most of us know nothing about. Held together by an outstanding Ralph Fiennes performance, Conclave is a must see. See my Letterboxd review below: #filmsky #letterboxd 📽️ boxd.it/8nmFEr

I’m STILL on a Nosferatu hype. Willem Dafoe is on another level. I want him and Eggers to work together for another 10 films. I mean this scene? He literally turned it up to 11 and ripped the knob off. #nosferatu #filmsky 📽️

Still in awe at how good Nosferatu is. One thing I would say though is people need to stop posting pictures of Orlok. He deserves to be seen live in the moment for the first time - it’s so bloody powerful! #filmsky 📽️

Equal parts sensual and disgusting, Nosferatu works because everyone involved is firing on all cylinders. Eggers has helmed a beautiful gothic horror masterpiece that will stay with me for a very long time. An instant classic. See my Letterboxd review below: boxd.it/8gDEFJ

This year all I can ask for is a better new year turnover than Captain Dan had 😅 that brother was MISERABLE.

It’s still kinda mad that James Cameron woke up one morning and thought ‘what if we did Pocahontas, but blue and in space’ and somehow turned it into an absolute masterpiece. #filmsky 📽️

One Star Wars thing I’ll never really understand is this: Let’s hide the baby where Lord Vader will never find him. *Proceeds to hide the baby with Vader’s family on Tatooine*. Plan works like a charm. Like how? #filmsky 📽️

Two movie villains who fill me with an unfathomable dread each time they’re on screen #filmsky 📽️

Juror #2 may well be Clint Eastwood’s last film and for that reason only I explore everyone to watch it even if it doesn’t 100% deliver on its gripping premise. This is a legend of the industry potentially signing off. Stream it. See my Letterboxd review below: boxd.it/8cVztD
