A good example of not being able to accumulate excess money ethically...

No Pokémon Z or Mega X and Mega Y. What the heck is up with that. Idk if BDSP did as well as they hoped but maybe enough to bring us a MXMY on the switch 👀

Fucking health insurance companies should be non profit and not publicly traded. Fucking scam.

Yall would love Ironpineapple's youtube series of finding soulslike in the most vague sense of the word lol. Some boil down to "has dodge roll? Good enough 🤷‍♂️"

I deem something souslike if you lose currency on death, has a bonfire like system, and the "normal" difficulty is meant to be challenging especially in boss fights. Jedi fallen order is a great example of a soulslike using those systems and almost nothing else the same. Hollow knight has bonfires

Marvel Midnight Suns. 10/10 game in that I can't think of anything that would take it down a point or could be added to make it better. It's an amazing game and it was severely overlooked.

And different but in a good way: PC can fight too, 4 demons fight at a time in turn based fashion, 3d open world kinds like SV, you have to talk with the demon to convince it to be on your team which can be a bit random like using poke balls, fusions also kind of Evolutions of demons

And in case anyone is like I was and have never heard of SMT V here is a brief comparison to Pokémon: type advantages but more complex, moves and learning moves but more complex, breeding = fusions (essentially), a bunch of different demons to "capture", TMs = essences but more complex.

Came to say this lol

Yeah in my opinion "Labor of Love" were games that came out complete and were developed even better after release. BG3 is adding 9 more subclasses soon. For free. That's love.

Finally a use for that button that unlocks my scroll wheel to scroll at Mach Jesus with the help of a can of air duster

As much as I also lean towards some of the trendy games (that are done well) I think that it helps other more original games stand out more when everyone is kind of competing against each other. Like nothing has come along like Cult of the Lamb as someone else said.

The gaming industry is ruining gaming

The new Spawn movie better actually come out or imma be big mad. The original movie came out the year I was born and as a kid it was one of my favorite movies. We need a new game too or a remaster of the old OG Xbox game.

Even Lego Fortnite?

Yeah people's biggest complaint being the social interactions but there is so much nods to the source material that you know they cared. You actually start to care about the characters in the story. I'm hoping Marvel Rivals will fill the void in the meantime.

Right?! I'm afraid it was too underrated to get a sequel 🙃 I loved being able to play as Magik. If the next one has more X-MEN like Gambit 😱

I play multiversus with my girlfriend and we both just button mash 🤷‍♂️ sometimes we lose sometimes we win but we are always having fun

Nothing beats an amazing game that's pixel art. I have always not given a single shit about graphics unless they are truly just no effort and bad. (Like pokemons recent games). I have never really cared for an expensive monitor and I hate upgrading my graphics card just to run games.

Steam does have it's benefits like remote play together and cloud save and invite friends to games pretty easily. Plus there is SOME (a small bit) of verification what you are downloading isn't just straight up malware. Some people just stick with what's familiar after getting so used to it.

I always just operated on the assumption they were different realities or alternate dimensions unless the game was explicitly in the same setting like BOTW and TOTK. 🤷‍♂️

One reason I do like steam and try not to buy just to sit in my backlog. If I try it for 1.5 hours and don't like it I'll return it. This is also why I feel demos are 100% necessary.

Oh yeah it's really only Summer and Winter when the good ones drop especially for AAA titles
comment in response to post
Get a PC and wait for Steam Autumn and Winter sale. Sales vary obviously but 50-95% off games is always nice to pick up some games you've been waiting to get. Not owning physical games does suck though so I do miss that...

I'm off to make a knock off game called Culdesace Brawlers

I'm not a veteran souls player but I really liked Jedo Fallen Order. Jedi Survivor was okay in comparison.
