I don’t think I’ve ever been to Durham station and not seen this train on the board. And every single time I have to remark on it.

No but I will! Always liked the breakdowns that Hawkins does.

Off to see him in the summer at the stadium, purely because he’s supported by the War On Drugs. Looking forward to seeing what influence they’ve had on his new album.

They didn’t have one in 1994 I think, but that was very early days. It’s hugely damning for their reputation.
Luckily they have an incredibly understanding and tolerant fanbase.

What’s next for Ange then? It’s not getting any better really.

Was just having a play around on Threads and noticed they’ve added drafts and scheduling too.
Shame it’s a Meta platform, really.

You’ve achieved something I never thought would happen again: I’ve reactivated Substack and downloaded the app.
Good first issue. Looking forward to reading more!
(And stealing advice and tips for the social workshops I’m delivering, with credit)

Wasn't my thing, but I'll always give things a listen! Had an expectation of a War On Drugs-style sound.

I'm talking a few days where it feels cruel, and isn't easy, but for us it paid off and has been fine ever since. And then a Gro clock when he got older, which also has a digital clock on now that he can tell the time.
If you can get something sorted for sleep everything feels a lot better!

This sounds right up my street. Good write-up, will have a listen today.

We did sleep training around 6 months - apparently that’s the earliest they recommend - and it was a life changer. Horrendous to start with, but after a few days we’ve never looked back.
7 years on and he sleeps 10 hours a night absolutely fine.

Oh yes. I never tell new parents about it just in case they brace for something that doesn’t happen - and you don’t want to put a downer on things either - but it hits hard.

I’ve heard good things about Beehiv as well. It’s a more managed and easy to use platform than Ghost.

Ghost’s worth a look if you’re moving away. Got @theonlinerule.com there and love it.
Some costs associated with it, but worth it.

Looked incredible today. By far the better team.

Yep. That’s why I’ve enjoyed the Spider-Man games recently, and things like GoW and Astro Bot. It’s a controlled experience by people with a vision that I can work through in my own timeframe and still enjoy.

Stop being, like, such a grown-up.

Saying that, my advice around social has always been to use it ‘top of funnel’. Don’t make it your home. Use it for what it’s good for: raising awareness.
Post natively, add value, have specific strategies, but get people to your site/email list as soon as possible. That’s where you’ll see results.

She’s got nothing else to go at other than the fact she didn’t like Fozia’s tone when she was asking her questions. I can’t believe she’s survived this long.

Definitely a case of having to be where the audience is. Haven’t missed being on Twitter at all, but because sports teams - and staff - are still almost exclusively using it I’m not going to have much choice.

The other overwhelming thing is the sheer volume of swearing in a game that really doesn’t need it. Always feels like the sign of writers who’ve ran out of ideas.

Into it a little bit now - after a 15 minute pause for some reason - and the story is incredibly contrived.
Maybe the tragic backstory is useful further along, but there’s no link between that and what’s actually happened to the main character yet.

Oh and there’s no way of finding out - outside of that pop-up - how the download’s progressing.
Get your act together, developers.

I tell a lie.
I can get off that screen. But then all I can do is run around the same empty room. The save button is greyed out as apparently this is an “event scene”. And there’s no indication anything has saved yet.
Not repeating the last 30 minutes another time.

I’ve read there are a lot bigger issues with the game. But so far this is my biggest gripe - absolutely no warning that it wasn’t ready to play until this popped up and I can’t close it.

Can get custom fonts with a bit of CSS work. Google Fonts can be embedded through code injection and then used. Doesn’t take too long!
