100% my thought as I walked out. I really dug the move, and no scenes are bad, but a couple sequences definitely kill the pace more than they serve the movie, especially near the tail end.

I’m totally fine with this. THPS 4 was great, but didn’t have the open world charm of THUG. THPS 1 + 2 was an incredible package, so having the maps of 3 + 4 in that format gets me more excited than just a pure format of 4.

Just played through Batman: Arkham Origins for the first time, and while it's not as amazing as the "mainline" Arkham trilogy, I think it's much better than the sentiment was upon release. It does a great job intro-ing Batman to a ton of villains, and even the Freeze DLC is decent.

Same here, Burly was found on the Baltimore streets, thought the trash was a buffet, and only played with empty water bottles. 11+ years later, he won't go outside without a sweater if it's too cold (in Orange County...) and looks at me like I'm an idiot if his homemade food isn't warmed enough.

I've had Ray-Ban Metas for a while now, and while the notifications and audio stuff has been game changing for me (earbuds don't fit my ears...), it's also incredibly nice to just snap a picture or video easily, like on a ride at Disneyland.

Enjoyed the first season of Peacock’s The Day of the Jackal. Modernizes what made the original great in a solid way, something the Bruce Willis film fumbled years ago. The show could use some better pacing, largely due to its 10 eps, could’ve been trimmed to 8 without issue. Glad it’s been renewed!

Finished up the first half of SECRET LEVEL today. Really dug some of the episodes (Space Marine, Unreal Tournament, Pac-Man, D&D) but overall fell a bit short in quality compared to LOVE, DEATH & ROBOTS. The only total misfire was Arnold's performance in the New World episode.

Good year in games. Favorites were Astro Bot, Prince of Persia: Lost Crown, FF7 Rebirth, Balatro, Star Wars Outlaws, Infinite Wealth, Space Marine 2, Dragon Age: Veilguard, and Indiana Jones. I assume Metaphor will make it, it’s next after I finish 1000xResist.

Finished Indiana Jones & The Great Circle. MachineGames nailed the Indy vibe, aesthetics, humor, and music, with a fun story and fantastic performances (Troy Baker, holy cow) all around. Stunning on Xbox Series X, use this engine on as much as you can, @xbox.com! Had a great time overall.
