Ya, I was in therapy at the time and kept getting notifications and told her they're baseball scores, I'm still focused, and I absolutely won't silence my phone. Until the 8th inning when I ended up staring at my phone confusedly lol

Misdemeanor possession of cocaine? So....personal use amount? Ya, that's worth wasting everyone's time to stop the "influx of drugs". Definitely not to milk people of money through fines. Thanks officers for looking out 🫡🙄

One of the biggest issues with liberals and at least the USA's strategy is identifying fascism simply by aesthetics instead of their ideology and tactics. Liberals think they'll easily identify Nazis by their black and red uniforms and goose-stepping

Also Bush doctrine neo conservatism was a right wing accelerationist plot to drive us deeper into fascism and the DNC fought it by cheering on the War on Terror and then pretending they were always against it when it was clear it was BS. Fantastic strategy dipshits

Liberals being incredibly ignorant about what fascism is and think that arguing against on the basis of morality will do any damned good
That's their playbook. They don't know how white nationalists operate or their beliefs. And somehow think that not knowing any of that will defeat the Nazis

Liberal transphobes: "I'm not transphobic I just don't think trans people should have rights or bodily autonomy. You're an idiot if you think I'm a transphobe for that"

Community is basically impossible. I'm trying to find a way to help. I want to build up my local community for the sake of our collective happiness. Talking on social media isn't my strong suit. It's bad for me. I very easily become toxic. I think instead of preaching I need to focus on positive

I hope you know that when I see stuff that seems counter to you it's generally not. You post thought provoking stuff for me and I'm trying to add and not disprove you because I generally agree with you. I'm just bad at communicating. And I'm a dick. Hope you're well

Imo opinion it's not a protest if it's deemed legal by the government and held in the proper place. If you're not agitating the militarized police into them committing violence, especially in response to your noncompliance and petty law breaking, it's not a threat to them

Their normal is just what's comfortable for them. And if they look away or look down on the victims of Neo-Liberalism and late stage capitalism their lives are devoid of meaning but at least they don't have to think about any of that. Fuck their normal. It won't go back regardless but it's dystopia

How many homeless people were there back when things were normal? It's just another story mythologizing our collective cult of tradition. Ya know, one of the biggest aspects of fascism. Hmm...what about our forever wars? The hospitals and schools we bombed? The fascists and genocides we support?

I think you're a great guy but we're well past trying to litigate or legislate to stop them. This has been their strategy all along. Vance cited Andrew Jackson of all people when he ignored SCOTUS and allowed the Trail of Tears. They WANT to break the judicial branch. It's time to change strategies

Doesn't absolve anyone at all, just trying to see where it comes from. Maybe that's not healthy or worthwhile. Idk

This may or may not be true but maybe some leftists have done some shitty things and they've turned to leftism as a form of absolution. This isn't to say they're "true" leftists. Just that if they've done bad shit in the past, they're likely to do it again despite striving to do better 🤷

And yes, just because it's already been happening doesn't mean it's not significant that it's accelerated now. But they built the foundation for this eventuality decades ago. Fuck, centuries ago when the 13th amendment was passed

Emphasize profits. Rehabilitation isn't a consideration in most cases. Punishment isn't even a consideration. It comes down to packing in the most people for the lowest price and forcing them to work under threat of torture at slave wage rates. It's cruelty and insanity. It's fucking disgusting

...the likely punishment regardless? Solitary confinement IS torture and charges the physiology of the brain. Grey matter begins to reduce in a very short time which is linked to Alzheimer's. I've seen up close what that disease does and it's a cruel and terrifying way to go. And our private prisons

..and by that very basic definition it is slavery. We're slavers. All of us. Slavery is one of the worst things you can do to a person and is wrong in every context and always has been wrong. Idc if it was common for 400 years. Yes what she sent is worse. But what good is due process if slavery is.

Anyone who is complicit, corroborating, conceding in anyway to fascism is a boon for fascists and can safely be crossed off the list of people who matter in this fight. Every member of Congress...

Honestly I think it started with Reaganism. He took a lot from Thatcher and I think the belief (though not stated as bluntly by Reagan) that there is no society but rugged individualism was designed to fail
It's a sort of neoliberal accelerationism
I can't prove it. But it'd never work

Personally I'm fucked. But I work with disabled people that absolutely cannot survive with Medicare, SSI, and other programs. They need housing, job coaching, people like me to aid them, life saving medical care, and more. Their earned benefits are already coming in inconsistently. They're way more.
