It’s bell peppers all the way down

Or understands that drama creates interest, not the opposite.

Let's be honest. Sports without drama is pointless. And yet Apple and MLS are intentionally (!?!) removing all drama from the league. They seem to think it will drive viewership when it obviously does the exact opposite. It's baffling.

Thank God for the Galaxy or DC would be heavy Wooden Spoon favorites.

I wonder how many Chivas USA players are still active? Aside from Delgado, there's Erik Zavaleta, Brad Guzan, and (kinda sorta) Brad Stuver. That's all I can think of.

The only way that this season could be any more hilarious would be if they won the US Open Cup. This is what they've taken away from us.

Can you imagine being born into the Kennedy family and then becoming a heroin addict? Dude should be the world's most famous philanthropist, not out here peddling erectile dysfunction elixirs and shitty health takes.

I'm a "stadium half full" kind of guy.

Put St. Louis on every single line in the bracket and you've got a deal

He's the most beloved soccer writer in the entire country. What a bewilderingly dumb decision.

I'd throw money at an electric or hybrid version. But it's 2025, why are VW still making ICE cars?

Why do y'all keep putting extra, utterly unnecessary sounds in words? We've got more important things to do with our time, like school shootings.

Well, for starters there's all the people that refuse to sit outside for two hours when it's 8 degrees.

At least he didn't go with the "We're happy with what we've got" punchline.

Ok, Milhouse.

On the one hand, this roster should be fighting for the last playoff spot, not the Wooden Spoon. On the other, I don't think restarting AGAIN is going to solve anything. The whole culture of the team is just rotten.
comment in response to post
Well, on the bright side you'll be able to sit outside in a blizzard for a couple of hours in Montreal in February and watch the worst soccer imaginable.
comment in response to post
In fairness, you haven't watched any games in Montréal yet. (Because grass doesn't grown in Quebec until April.)

I really like Lesesne. And any commentary after a 6-1 loss should probably be taken with a heavy dose of salt. But the sum of this team is less than the individual parts.

This league has made some mystifying and stupid decisions in the past 30 years. None of them are as mystifying and stupid as this one.

It seems very unlikely that the World Cup could succeed in the USA in 2026 and it seems almost impossible for the Club World Cup to succeed in the USA in 2025. I understand that FIFA and Trump have very similar attitudes toward bribery so I'm very doubtful that anything will change.
