One of the reasons I made the feed specifically aside from just the list is so that people can have their OWN space without needing someone to facilitate interaction between each other. So I HOPE yall have been using it in my absence

...side and expect them to know what you like bc not every side necessarily likes everything that's considered outercourse. So whether youre a top/bottom/side, all in all, it really is just better to lead with what youre into and you want at that moment. Clear and upfront communication is always key

This is true, but when you think about all the acts of sex, there are also ones that top/bottoms avoid, like there are some who don't do oral, so its not just sides who exclude some acts. And there's so much outside of "not fucking" that it would be impossible to just lead with the label of ...

Reskeeting this begrudgingly but it did get a reaction out of me

I want people out there to have the best language they need so they can be upfront about the sex that they desire in a concise manner so that no one is confused asking where the penetration is. Sex is great but it can be better when communication is present. 8/8

I don't write this to police anyone, nor to tell people to stop calling themselves 'part sides,' because I don't really care for that. In the end, labels are just guides and the human mind is just so complex, trying to put every aspect of life into discrete boxes is nearly impossible 7/

All in all, the terms 'side play' and 'foreplay' are two that can be misleading when conversing about sex when we have a better term for it ("outercourse") that describes things literally and doesn't put any pressure onto anyone. 6/

And foreplay is a great term, only for when the end goal is penetration because foreplay is there to help people get relaxed and in the mood because penetration can be a bit taxing on the body and mind but as sides, that term can be misleading because other people will come to expect penetration. 5/

But -huge but here- outercourse, which I've seen people label as 'side play,' is something that top/bottom/vers guys can also enjoy. They're not acts necessarily reserved for sides. I also see non-sides refer to that as foreplay. 4/

As sides, we don't like intercourse for multiple reasons, not comfortable, not appealing whatever it may be and would rather enjoy other stuff All the other stuff we do, falls under Outercourse: rimming, mutual JO, BJ, frotting, etc. Basically every other sex act that does not require penetration 3/

"Sex" as an umbrella term is for acts that count as 'sexual activity' between two or more people and can be split into two categories. Intercourse, which people use interchangeably (wrong) for sex but it really only is for penetrative sex. [penis/anus, penis/vagina] 2/
