What food has the faint whiff of death?

Wait, does that mean you’re the head of the herd? I’d often wondered who had that role.

Any recommendations for satire podcasts to lighten my feed?

Nice to know swearclock can’t remember the gender of the current monarch either.

I remember having to save my pocket money for weeks in order to buy one of these from the local shop. Imagine the disappointment of getting 1985 The Day After 😔 That said, they were bad enough that it encouraged to write my own.

I didn’t expect that response, given your user name.

Pyramid bags? No no, that was never a thing, that's just the Mandela effect.

I might do a few dynamic stretches before I get going, but usually not for much longer than it takes my watch to lock onto the GPS satellites. First few miles as warm up sounds perfectly reasonable to me!

Seems fishy to me.

Meanwhile, it’s cheaper for me to buy a whole new inkjet printer than replace the cartridges in the one I have.

Why are there two orange flavoured ones these days? One was too many already.

I’m starting to wonder if varifocals are a scam, the opticians seem really keen on selling them and they’re definitely not cheap.

Definitely this. Give it a go and if it works, great; if it doesn’t, try something different.

If you’re interested, here’s my trailing 90 day distances for 2024; starts well then the wheels fall off in May.

But not taking rest after short easy stuff doesn’t bother me so much. If my legs are tired that’s ok, just slow down and go again tomorrow.

I wish I’d listened to my body a bit more and taken more rest after hard sessions 🙄 I ended up aggravating an old injury so the back half of the year has been crap.
comment in response to post
I’m the classic “all my easy sessions are too hard” runner, so the benefit for me was that I learnt to take it easy as I knew I’d be out again the next day. I messed up when I noticed how fit I’d got and started smashing intervals sessions again but didn’t give myself any recovery.

I started the year aiming for a run streak and made it over seventy days; initially I was just doing three km each day for the first week or so, but by the end of Jan I was over 5k. I found a new easy pace, about 30s per km below my old one.

Most inappropriate solo is surely the one in Fight For Your Right. First bar or so is good then it just kind of runs out of steam.

Last time I remember using a 5.25 drive, I was loading Xor onto a bbc micro in computer club. Good times 😀
