The “Gen X/Boomer losing one third of their 401k” to “normal person with empathy” pipeline appears to be very real.

All these fashy guys have some secret inner definition of the word "woke" but the public definition is "oh, you know 😉". It's like watching the language develop a widening sinkhole into nothingness: a word whose function (unlike all other words) is not to hold meaning, but the absence of meaning.

liberals get a lot of mileage out of claiming that the folks who want free healthcare and education and living wage for everyone are the most hateful people in the universe because we get mad about all the easily preventable deaths and say a curse word in the internet

can't normalize without normies. make your peace with this now

While we were sleeping, the senate passed new budget blueprint that includes trillion $ tax cuts for the wealthy. They voted down amendments that addressed tariffs, Doge and social security protections. Let’s see what the house does now.

Most infighting on the left in the US is simply due to the US government spending a century shooting any leftist leader in the head and strangling every organization with. You've never seen a healthy, thriving leftist movement in the US, a Pinkerton put a bullet in its head a century ago

NO Dems don’t need to move toward the center to get the senior vote. I’m 71. My generation marched those marches & fought for the rights we’re now losing. Center my ass! I want AOC to kick Schumer’s butt. I want Dem MOC protesting on the Capitol steps. Time is running out. #LeadWithTheLeft!

Thought I’d bring a smug smile to your beautiful faces today 😏 #FAFO

It should be noted that markets have underreacted to the tariffs. A 30–50% sales tax (aka tariffs), will wipe out entire industries. The -7% drop this week doesn’t reflect the full damage. It’s an optimistic move assuming the tariffs won’t stick. The impact, if enforced, would be far more severe.

Tourists won't spend money at our destinations, other countries won't buy our exports, NATO allies won't even buy our military hardware at this point, our economy is cratering and our state capacity is rapidly unraveling. DO YOU FEEL GREAT YET

welp

Spent the day in Algonquin, which is located in the traditionally red McHenry County. Thousands of people lined up for at least a half mile. You could barely talk because passing cars kept honking and cheering us on.

Autistic life is being accused of overreacting while suppressing 95% of the reaction. Then being told autism isn’t an excuse for your reactions…when you’re just explaining how you are. Being accused of being upset even when I'm perfectly calm is not just frustrating in itself but also very tiring.

please

"why does the left hate liberals so much" maybe it's because you spend 60 years throwing us under the bus in hopes that the right wing would stop calling you commies

THIS. #HandsOff

There's is something very Roman about a jilted former consul returning to power to unleash a campaign of vengeance and self destruction while so many look on and go "nah he can't be that dumb to burn down the city"

Nailed it!

When you understand what’s really wrong with conservatism… You can’t help but see it in liberalism too.

#digitalart #vashthestampede #trigun

People flooded the Mall for the #HandsOff rally in Washington DC

imagine getting called a tankie by liberals, who have actually deployed tanks against people

Something I've learned in union organizing is you can take moments like this--of anger, fear, frustration--and use them as openings to move people toward greater political consciousness. Very few of us have perfect socialist bona fides right off the bat. You learn in struggle.

I don't understand how any member of Congress can look at today and still believe they'd get some terrible backlash and lack of support from introducing an impeachment resolution, or even saying the word. Stop worrying about the nattering pundits who speak for nobody but themselves. Just do it.

Must’ve cost big bucks to pay millions of people in 1,100 cities.

Being a leftist in America feels like showing up to English class having done the reading, but being forced to listen to kid after kid who didn’t read the book try to sound like they read the book. And you know they haven’t read the book, because you did. Anyway, “the book” is history.

i am tickled by the number of delightfully profane signs held by people with white hair

Oh wow: Portland Oregon is NOT KIDDING #handsoff

Building a mass movement (instead of a subculture) will require a lot of cringe, so get comfortable with it

By the way whenever we come out of a deep recession like 2008, the rich get richer

we out here

This is Utah in case anyone’s wondering how pissed off people are. I have never seen anything like this.

Liberal "democracy" was good for business but bad for workers. Fascist nationalism is ostensibly worse, but that doesn't mean the fix is to return to the old ways. Liberal "democracy" *created* the conditions for fascism.

It's not manufacturing jobs you want, it's a stable job with a middle-class wage, retirement, affordable health insurance, and worker protections that you want. Which isn't naturally tied to factory jobs, but it is naturally tied to union organizing.

When GPU prices increased in February that's because tariffs on China were 10% When they increased again in March that's because they were 20% Now they're 54% for China and other Asia markets incl. Vietnam are 46% Unless reversed or reduced, you can expect to see the price of gaming hardware soar

Right wing tariffcels make sense to me because American conservatism hates life itself. Left wing tariffcels are idiots at best and first world chauvinists at worst (and bad at that!). “Uhhh the US should destroy Cambodian society a second time so Americans can go to the textile factories” dumbass.

The other neat thing is i was never said China was a liberal democracy cause that’s stupid and obviously it isn’t. I just questioned the notion that US residents are “dramatically” “freer”

fellow gamers, it is now time to Switch 2 communism

Worst two-day stock market crashes in the U.S. by percentage loss: 1. 1929 (the Great Depression) 2. 1987 (Black Monday) 3. 2008 (the Great Recession) 4. YESTERDAY AND TODAY And while this happened, the man responsible for it was golfing and dining with enemies of America.

Loving the right-wing turn towards “Why’s everyone always so worried about Money, and Possessions, these days…” strangely coinciding with the big man tanking the economy

Most people have never been brave. Folks, there is no golden age of "bravery" in any cultural context or historical moment. People are just people and what makes people more brave is if others take brave action [and this only works sometimes].

It's actually pretty wild that just one guy can collapse the global economy. Seems like a bad system!

Theres a form of liberal whose self-image is about seeming "smart"; who's unfailingly shilled for Dems/neoliberalism regardless of events; and who's been unrepentantly wrong about everything. They've enabled the GOP, they've helped ruin the world & they hate those who've been right the whole time.

As someone who posts about elections, a response I often get is "Assuming there is another election". I get that concern. But to be clear, this is a future-election-assuming account. I don't give in to that kind of thinking. To do so is to give the GOP what they want: Premature surrender.
