dont, panic...
as repeated from the post. the patreon is NOT going away but rather being downsized. and also this was planned in advance. it is now that its being enacted.

not to mention the custom handle might have been too confusing for users aiming to 'discover' me.

you take the shit pill: you come to bluesky and its exactly the same shit as b4.
you take the BIG SHIT pill: you watch XTwitter turn into a JRPG except all the NPCs are ads and nothing is legitimate. and maybe that is for the best, at least HAL9001 knows EXACTLY what you like.

- or, realize that entire communities and platforms can evolve like pokemon, metamorphise into pretty much the same thing, both good and bad. but with a new name.
you, aren't getting anything better than what you are used to, but at least it isn't going to be worse.

so if you are but a mere smuckling in the grand scheme of things. what are you to do? well, im not your dad, but if you wana make a choice
- you either stay on X and watch dead internet theory happen right b4 your eyes over the next 6 months or so. as your favorite artist to browse is HAL9001.

thankfully I am not addicted to... how do I put this? a rather retarded form of attention seeking. prolly b/c I figure there is some considerable fake engagement and rily anyone claiming otherwise is delusional.
and on some hard ass copium.

for instance rn I got 166-wait 167 now, hello there! on bluesky.
and only like 125 on X. but get this, on X I expect a higher ratio of active user to bot/deadAccount than on bluesky. so arguably I have more traction over here.
(and yeah I don't care about the numbers lol. rare time I bring it up)

see you may have heard this chanted a bit on bluesky about how follower and artists insisting that 'they need XTwitter' to (idfk) survive?. but likethe problem is metric of follower count on X doesnt have much meaning anymore.

I did make mention of it being a relay many times and for the most part I haven't had any real issue with the state of X for a good while, yes even with elongated Rat Bastard "in control".
and even that new AI remixing button didnt rily concern me that much.
but here is the thing...

well at least in the replied msg b/c lol ran out of chars.
but basically, the real incentive to post stuff on X has dipped below the incentive to post stuff here. not by much but this is the current trend.
for the most part the only real thing my X account is even doing is acting as a relay.

They, made their choice. sometimes people cannot be helped if they willing choose to refuse it, you cant change that about someone, not without forces only devout followers of Jesus Christ believe in.

also I kno that for many of my fellow bluskii's you may be still a little upset at your friends and family that havent hopped on over, or at least anywhere other than Xtwitter. I think yall may need to kno at this point anyone that still is there, for any reason, is a lost cause.

These are prolly the same people that use email to send a picture from their phone to their PC. (B/c honestly, who would even use KDE connect for that?)

Tbh I'm not against the idea of sharing it however it does derive from a paid base and for those I avoid outright sharing base modifications unless they can be distributed in isolation.

now, I haven't implemented this next bit, but I also gonna do something fancy with gyro to have a cursor on screen to aim where the player is looking. rn the player just faces in the direction of movement.
anyway no idea if I will use this but its a thing.

BUT... if you hold down on left bumper, or whatever is bound to "camera". it changes the right stick to act like flick stick allowing you to reposition the camera in any relative direction, and pressing it once just moves it behind you.
comment in response to
post
yeah that, but what you may not be seeing all too clearly. is how I took the principle behind "flick stick" to change up how this normally works. the jist is that normally the right stick moves the camera like you'd expect.

for context: after playing through the entirety of Pikmin4. it gave me a hankering to try my hand at a more floaty controlled camera. ya know the ones, where you dont usually use a 2nd joystick to move the camera but instead have a single button that puts it behind the character?

I think a lot more developers should get more experience writing for constrained systems and limited resources, because it helps to shape your thinking even when you have a lot more of them.
There's a lot of unnecessary waste the way things are written and designed nowadays.
