I mean I guess I already know that the answer to my question is propaganda, but it’s still depressing.

What I want to know is how people could come to the belief that a conman/grifter/“billionaire” would give a damn about small businesses.

I hear combat medics sometimes use fentanyl laced lollipops. We have the technology.

I really liked the speech, but if he didn’t want people to say that it’s a presidential bid, why did he give the speech in New Hampshire?

Again, inclusive or is a valid Boolean operation.

Inclusive or.

I wonder how much of this phenomenon is because of bots.

Honestly, in my experience, once I learned a little bit of set theory, a lot more definitions suddenly became accessible.

I’m a blue collar worker (mechanic currently) with an interest in math, and while there is certainly room for improvement, I’ve gotten through a lot of math articles on Wikipedia. I often do have to click some of the links to get more context, but I’ve found it a helpful reference.

Correction, the answer *was* due process. Hopefully that will be the answer again someday. Right now the answer is resistance.

How about brainwashed and finally starting to experience cognitive dissonance?

I wonder if this is going to end up what they do to Luigi Mangioni.

Yes, but maybe we were vulnerable to this madness because we were so slow to fix the problems we already had.

I wouldn’t necessarily assume that the crash is an accidental result of idiocy. Would it really be that surprising to learn that Trump is basically acting on Putin’s wishes?

I’m hoping that countries will take this opportunity to repeal the IP agreements they only ratified to maintain tariff free access to US markets.

Here’s my take. Everyone is vulnerable to propaganda. We (the general American populace) have been particularly vulnerable due to a variety of factors that are the fault of both parties, but mostly the fault of billionaires.

If you haven’t read Cory Doctorow before, I’d check him out. Particularly his 2008 YA novel, “Little Brother”. Clear sighted people have been trying to warn us about the rise of American fascism for a while now. DHS are the bad guys in that novel.

No it won’t, but staying quiet is so much worse. We must do more than just post, but that does not mean that posting is useless.

It’s not a competition, and at the end of the day we were both put in an unfair situation. A frankly dangerous situation in an environment where it is very hard for workers to have savings. I hope more workers start sharing their stories.

I got fired from a job building out a Meta data center for asking that drinking water be readily available on the job site as required by OSHA.

To be fair, that’s not even in American. Most Americans have enough trouble reading American, let alone European. How are they supposed to know what those words mean without emoji.

For me, I got my diagnosis after being hospitalized. It wasn’t something that I went out and sought on my own.

I’m going to say that even if this were true it would be pointing to deeper problems than the people doing the shoplifting. If environments are created in which it is impossible to survive while following the rules, don’t be shocked when people then break the rules.

Ok, but what about Ceres?

If you’re done with it, can I read it next?

Just so you know, you are talking about a sweet old lady who should be able to retire but isn’t because she and millions of other Americans have been failed by both parties. In my opinion we should reserve our anger for the people benefiting from all of this and show compassion to the misled.

They don’t suck. They were lied to. Everybody is vulnerable to propaganda.

I wouldn’t be so sure. Of course not all will, but I had a conversation with a co-worker today who was questioning their support for Trump after this was announced. You have to realize that a lot of people who supported him did so because of propaganda and disinformation.

The GOP said the system is broken (true) and we can fix it (lie). The Dems have tried to sell the idea that the system isn’t really broken, and just needs minor tweaks. From my working class view from the ground, the system is very broken. Neither party is good. One is just less transparently evil.

I personally enjoy fishing minigames. I think they should be mandatory in every game, and all players should be required to catch every fish before the story is completable. (no of course I don’t actually think this, but I do enjoy fishing minigames)

I’m also a fan of understanding context.

I haven’t read The Dark Tower, but the ending of Hadestown totally rocks.
