The code is open source. If someone buys the company, someone else like me can host the code on their own machines.

Steam for Linux/Win/OSX. I originally chose Unity because there was a sale on some great assets in the store, and it ran fairly well on Linux (Unreal was giving me some issues at the time).
More content to come, but I am moving for a new job atm (Unity related!)

All engines have pros and cons, but Unity enabled me to ship my first game in 1 year!

Very good book. Carl Sagan is a personal hero of mine ever since I randomly turned on the TV to Cosmos. Back when television actually had real documentaries.

I agree. For my next patch, I think I will post on Bluesky the stuff I had been previously sending to my friends. Even silly things like 'should the UI element go here or here'.

I wouldn't worry about it too much until you need to (let's hope that never happens).
If you want it to feel more like Facebook, just follow your friends!
Bluesky also expects you to curate your own content, here is a great article about curating your feeds:

You don't need to. Nerds like me can take the Bluesky code, which is open and available here github.com/bluesky-social, and set up that code to run on our own hardware. We could call it something like 'Clearsky', and users like you could migrate use Clearsky instead of Bluesky.

Don't forget that you can use your companies domain name as your handle!

I noticed you use substack. It looks like you can also use a custom domain for substack:

Hey Fred, if you have a registered domain name, you can set that up as your handle. This is like the Bluesky equivalent of checks or whatever. Not sure if this works for you or not, but I thought I'd bring it up.
