This makes me think of my favorite allegory for this sort of science denialism. Imagine a pounding, drenching thunderstorm. A group of people huddle together, holding up umbrellas, edge-to-edge. As a result, even those too young or too infirm to hold an umbrella are kept dry. This lasts years.

Something I'd really like to see adopted from Threads is the ability to 'Hide for everybody' and also to make blocking an account much easier than it is. Half the rage is siphoned off by the time I've made four clicks to find the block option, and then it's just not as satisfying.
