Al Green understood the assignment

This is the first page of this morning’s edition of the Globe and Mail (arguably the English Canadian paper of record) I don’t remember seeing anything like this before

French Senator Claude Malhuret: "Washington has become Nero’s court, with an incendiary emperor, submissive courtiers and a jester high on ketamine... We were at war with a dictator, we are now at war with a dictator backed by a traitor."

I am really disgusted that Tractor Supply, with their anti-DEI pandering, is sponsoring the SEC women's basketball tournament.

Ready Fire Aim is a lousy way to govern.

Cleaning out my socks drawer. I don't need to buy socks for about 100 years.

The United States Military Academy has just eliminated all Cadet clubs and activities for POC. Most of these have existed for decades like the Society of Black Engineers. They were there when I was a Cadet in 1987. All of the religious ones remain. This isn’t DEI. It’s white Christian Nationalism.

The beauty of Spring (or likely false Spring right now) is that with the window open you get to hear the laughter and joy of your neighbors celebrating getting outdoors and enjoying nature and each other and time and space.

When I was a Hill staffer in 2009, a Dem trifecta was trying to pass universal healthcare. In response, Senate GOP released a memo detailing all of the tactics they in the minority could use to delay the effort as much as possible. I'm recirculating that 2009 GOP memo here. Take inspiration from it.

i just cannot get over how much the administration’s response to the crash shows a profound disrespect for the lives of the people they are supposed to serve

Normalizing spelling out what people actually mean when they cite DEI rather than letting them hide behind the safe cover of a euphemism that's been sapped of meaning

Well said, Pete Buttigieg

Brutal exchange between RFK Jr. and Sen. Bennet: Bennet: Did you say Lyme disease is a highly likely militarily engineered bioweapon? Kennedy: I probably did say that.

Greed is a powerful God.

I think calling the Jan 6 pardons "The Pedo Pardons" is decent

To be clear, this is shutting down the people who handle the obligatory reporting requirements for CSAM.

More of this, please.

Please remember that this administration is not “the government.” They are not governing. The government is not the bad guy. Trump and the oligarchs are the bad guys. They are dismantling “the government.”

This will affect everything from people paying their rent and restaurants making payroll to companies selling heavy equipment, roads being repaired, and farmers getting paid for their crops. It will not reduce the cost of eggs or improve border security. #RadioFreeAmerica

It can't be overstated how much of the appeal of ascending fascism is "You get to be the shittiest kind of person imaginable with no social consequences." These chucklefucks act like they lived through some kind of Kafkaesque distopia but in reality their friends just asked they stop using slurs.

A grim but essential memory: 80 years ago today Auschwitz was liberated. That there was an Auschwitz to liberate is unspeakably tragic. . . www.history.com/this-day-in-...

January 2025 is rivaling March 2020 as the longest month ever.

The Baby Ruth is an under-appreciated candy bar.

Tulips are my favorite.

I spent the morning doing this jigsaw puzzle that I bought at Goodwill yesterday. A great morning combining some of my favorites things - jigsaw puzzles and Andy Warhol.

This is chilling! www.propublica.org/article/madi...
