Similarly Freire talks about regimes of traditional education perpetuating a model of oppression as tool to retain dominance. It is challenging to speak truth to power.

What a fabulous question. If we take a foucauldian view point power knowledge and truth are inextricably linked, in that one speaks to another and every exercise of power depends on a knowledge that supports it.

Totally. Deep learning takes time, hard work, effort, compassion, understanding. The Education System isn't geared up for it.

Definitely. The issues stem from an improvement right now culture. Compassion does have a human toil and toll on leaders the problem with both is that the compassion is not always reciprocal and is often confused with 'being nice to people where our compassion must be about learners first.
