I wondered a few weeks ago if TC will have the guts to face developers face-to-face this year at WWDC25
I expect some dev to boo him during his appearance in the recorded keynote and in person afterwards.
This will be wild and embarrassing for sure.

There’s fair warning and there’s WARNING!!!
The wording & the scary tactic are the issues
So I say, why stay there? Why not just write: “the processor might be a scammer. Apple cannot be held responsible for any scam practice induced by following this external purchase”
Extreme to make my point

I think he meant external USB Blu-ray drive and not external SSD, like these two (both are UltraHD BD burners)

Like any other AI company… I don’t trust any of them.
Remember Microsoft? “If it’s on the internet, it’s free to use” about training copilot or OpenAI lobbying for lifting copyrights protection for AI training or
stealing Ghibli art 🤷🏻♂️
All are evil

That’s why I am using Perplexity Pro as search engine 🙃

And if I can be _that_ guy, thank you for Solar Opposite and Lower Decks, I really enjoy(ed) these tv shows.

It actually helps it give the correct answer the next time, or so it seems after a few tests I did. 🤷🏻♂️

And all its answers are full of “I am sorry, I’ll do better next time” when you correct it, which it is most of the time 🤷🏻♂️

Might not. People are lazy and gullible 🤪
I am trying to use Perplexity as a Google replacement in the last few days.
It is mind blowing that the quality of the answers are so bad as soon as you try to get very specific.

Once again, I agree, but most don’t see it has broken.
As I see it, it is even worse: the less educated you are, the more prompt you are at trusting the AI answers as total truth.

True but I think it helps lambda Joe better understand that AI has no clue what it actually write/speak.

I think the correct wording is “bullshitting”

I always mute keywords related to TV shows I watch and avoid tv show review website. And if I guess spoilers from thumbnails in YouTube, the channel gets blacklisted for life. This helped me (mostly) avoid spoilers

Sorry to hear that 😕
To prevent this kind of things, I usually write emails and complex WhatsApp messages in the NotePad or Tot and then copy/paste the final text to email/WA.
Bonus: this also helps to avoid hitting “send” by mistake before finishing the message

I cancelled my pledge of a real cool Kickstarter Art-centered project because they pushed the use of generative slop AI for content during the campaign.(still running)
I asked them to clarify their position about Gen AI. No answer. Cancelled pledge 😕
