I don't know if it's similar for you and writing, but I sometimes find my best coding happens *away* from the computer when I'm not actively trying to work.
Basically, I believe a good amount of breaks is important for good work.

It's just like overwatch in that. I have a friend who disabled chat in overwatch and just had a much better time with it, and I assume the same could be done in rivals.

Also regarding the original point. I think a lot of shows get free suspension of disbelief for the *premise* of the show and anything that stems from that, but unrelated similarly out there ideas naturally get more scrutiny.

Oh yeah I no longer think they could pull off manually doing it after seeing like 2 people in security - I agree with you.

I'm 100% the same way - I was convinced early on that it was just someone watching the doors and manually stopping them - kind of like the story of the 'lie detector' that was a copy machine that they pressed copy each time they were suspicious of a lie to print out a page that said 'lie.'

My solution: *make* it fun by playing a rhythm game that demands movement. I still don't want to do it too often, but it helps imo (Stepmania my personal choice - basically free computer DDR, but Just Dance prior to that).

It's not pure open world (it's factory building + exploring), but Satisfactory does it great imo. Jetpack with fuel you can craft, or infinite flight if within range of your power grid - tradeoffs.

There's also this type of review I wrote - mixed feelings basically + technical issues, despite it being fun. steamcommunity.com/id/stickfigh...

I've read this multiple times and I'm laughing each time. It's great.

Yesterday's reference www.egscomics.com/comic/party-... includes "Holy Carp Forks" if that helps.

This took me a bit to process since my first thoughts were - well how is this worse than not giving money to charity? But I guess it's the optics of it all, appearing more charitable when they could just give the charity that money.

*This picture is a joke and I'm not actually mad.* I saw this right there and had to quickly make it.
Your comic brings joy - if you need time, take it.

Aha found one (not what I was thinking of, but the same idea).

Or even an intentional mistake. I'd swear I saw an article *ages* ago about an advertisement where they gave someone 3 legs so that most people who just flip through the page quickly will remember it a bit more since it was off.
That probably doesn't happen as much these days though.

EGS is just a comic designed to make you want characters to hug, then delivers on that. It's great.

I'd rather buy a game with stick figure cover art than obvious AI... and I *have* enjoyed West of Loathing so I suppose I have evidence to back that claim up.

In some at least, such as a particular Black Mirror episode that you probably aren't interested in given that it's, well, Black Mirror and not particularly happy.

I'd also swear when I first heard the term 'woke' and looked up a definition, there wasn't even a negative connotation at the time. I think the meaning evolved to be worse.
I also agree that it's overused/overloaded.

Pandora has always been a favorite character of mine, and I just have to say - I am enjoying this arc so much. You're doing good.

Sounds kind of like some obfuscated code programmer contests where the goal is to make code that either doesn't look like it does anything, or looks normal but is actually a hack of some sort.

I absolutely enjoyed a phrase I first heart on AGDQ this week. "This is a bouquet of oopsie-daisies."

I think one of the most consistent excuses for a long series is Doctor Who. If you go on long enough, time, or perhaps timelines, have changed, so you can just sort of handwave everything behind that.

I hate bloatware as much as you, and it shouldn't be too difficult to install your own OS instead of whatever it comes pre-built with.
Incidentally I'm quite considering whenever I happen to next get a new computer, 'downgrading' to Win 10.

Ashley could in-canon make stories about this. In-canon non-canon stories?

Yeah AI has things it's good at and things it's... less good at. I work in medical software and it's used in some places to speed up workflows, but it's never the only thing used (e.g. we present it as a 'draft' to the end user). In short I agree.
I haven't worked on the AI pieces myself though.

I think if you hit the max review per day it automatically lowers the new cards until you catch up, so Anki should handle it decently well, but if you're like me and get months behind, it might take a bit.

An Omori fanart (how about just the main character, Omori). Alternatively... something to celebrate the new Isaac online multiplayer.

Fairly similar to this idea (but more focused on famous things), you might enjoy taking a look at theoatmeal.com/comics/believe (it is the oatmeal, so prepare for a bit of obscene)

If you change your mind on this, "Recognition RTK" is the deck I've used/had recommended to me. The main thing I like about it is you can click any card for a link to the explanation (RTK search), though it still isn't easy.

Also I'd like to add - good luck. I know it isn't easy.

I definitely understand the desire for comfort food. My personal best strat there is either set specific days for comfort food ahead of time, or specifically having fairly small amounts of it when I feel like I need some.
