I suspect this is a HUGELY underestimated factor in radicalization. If you look at, say, QAnon boards, it’s not really folks looking for scapegoats for their dire material circumstances. It’s middle-class people with boring lives who want to imagine they’re in The Parallax View.

dunno why we are debating elon musk's intelligence when we all fucking saw him play elden ring with two shields and flasks removed from quick pouch

elon: we are finally ending the $80 billion woke flu vaccine and giving people the freedom they deserve 6k💬 147k♻️ 1.1mm❤️ [post unavailable, click to see] grimes: please call me back it's about Xa-17cT he needs emergency surgery but the hospital needs your signature please it's important

Ordering an armed guy, who is statistically likely to have PTSD, to my house where I will travel with him in a confined space while paranoid about my surroundings. This is normal.

to celebrate Valentine's Day properly, you need to fearlessly defy the corrupt government at risk of imprisonment and beheading

Musk Signals Willingness To Bid More Than $97 Billion To Acquire Respect

I have wondered if the New York Times has been acting as handmaidens of fascism because the paper's leaders find it appealing, but now I'm wondering how many people with prominent positions there are just genuinely stupid.

saying "go birds" but just rooting for birds in general, hope they're having fun and not catching that flu

even if you’re 100% certain that your political analysis is correct, making your entire brand being corrosive and annoying online might not be as effective as you hope. it probably feels good in a righteous fury way but come kickoff you might wish you spent a little more time coalition building

Trump Claims He Can Overrule Constitution With Executive Order Because Of Little-Known ‘No One Will Stop Me’ Loophole

Frankly it’s embarrassing how much George Orwell’s “1984” gets wrong about 1984. The publisher should update it to be more accurate, e.g. “Winston heard ‘Eat It’ by Weird Al Yankovic playing on the radio. ‘I’d hate to be Michael Jackson right now!’ he said to Big Brother”

Didn't expect a "Jewish-friendly" reimagining of Fagin to make him a literal Nazi. It sounds like it'd be too blunt, a first-joke idea, but Mackintosh makes it sing. Musk relishes his role as the smiling villain and the audience loved the Artful Dodger's gang of boy-thieves. Does feel a bit rushed.

Wait so were they just responding to what they thought they could get away with the whole time? Wait so if they get afraid of public backlash they can be bullied into change again, but more so? Interesting, looking into it, etc

We all know fossil fuel companies are beyond shameless, but it takes a special kind of sociopathy to announce $9.1 billion in profits, and a 50% cut to renewable energy investments ON THE SAME DAY. Great work as always, #Equinor 🤮

“President Trump is breaking the law. Here are some examples.” See? It’s not hard.

I've got to say, the guy who accidentally became the Director of the FBI does 100% look like the guy who accidentally becomes the Director of the FBI in a mid-2000s comedy about a guy who accidentally becomes the Director of the FBI

0.9*0.9*0.9*0.9=0.6561 0.6561*100=65.61% If you assume that an obese 78 year old has a 10% chance of dying each year, a fair call, Trump has a 66% chance to survive his term. So maneuvering a soft man who owes his entire career to you into the VP slot by manipulating his idiot son is a great move.
