"Nationwide injunction" is really a misnomer, setting aside that it's appealable and they have been appealing. District judges aren't taking any kind of unmerited jurisdiction. The "nationwide" effect is because *the government* and its agencies are nationwide, and they're the defendants.

Evidence suggests the Trump admin is engaged in a broader practice of revoking student visas beyond just targeting people who expressed pro-Palestinian opinions. They are now seemingly going after people for any minor infractions. I heard that one student with a jaywalking ticket got a visa revoked.
