I'm glad they aren't openly exterminating, but we're only in 2 months.

By that same logic, if you keep going around the world going East, you'll gain a day every time you pass the internal date line. :p

"A vengeance has been taken upon the nobility of art. The multitude, which does not understand painting or poetry, idolizes photography and thinks it is the equivalent of art. A madness, an extraordinary fanaticism, took possession of all these new sun-worshippers." Charles Baudelaire/Salon of 1859

Unreal’s classes emphasized that you should create just enough of the set for shots. This works great for video, but horrible for VR. However, viewing this stuff as a diorama is fine. Hobbiton is scannable, so there might be some 3DGS out there.

I Love Lucy was enhanced to generate an HD/widescreen version of the show. This required generating the set from the footage. It lacked the 4th wall and ceilings. Seinfeld’s set isn’t cohesively possible.

Ironically, some of the people and companies that worked on The Hobbit (1977) became Studio Ghibli. The style was taken from an illustrated short story magazine.

She’s still really good in Reacher and Lodge 49.

There aren’t any good Virtual Worlds that you can spin up for cheap on your own. Not one!

Jack Quaid is fun; still need to finish Lower Decks's final season. I'm glad Novocaine was at least average, but I plan to see it for comparison to AVP's What If... or Encounters with Dinosaurs.

I hope it happens sooner. People should have work, but not jobs.

I suspect that Sacha Baron Cohen's character is in-part based on Austrian Niki Lauda, which is famous for his rivalry with James Hunt. The writers brought the rivalry over to help make the Ricky Bobby's story better than Elroy Jackson Jr.'s story. In the same way, people apply laughs/min to story.

I watched Talladega Nights in the past week or so. What I never knew is that it's (in-part) a parody of The Last American Hero (1973), which is the story of Elroy Jackson Jr. The elements of a going fast to follow in the Dad's illegal footsteps, libertine woman, protective Mom. #IWannaGoFast

I find it funny for a very different reason....it breaks a Star Wars Rule that technology is only what's available in the the 1970s. Because the new ChatGPT image processing happened today, here's me with a Holocron...and dragon fly wings.

Really? I’m in the AVP now. I can’t imagine what it would be.

Virtual tools seem the best we’ve ever seen and simultaneously we seem limited to video conferencing and a handful of companies making AI powered Miro knock off collaboration tools. Virtual meeting spaces and offices seem in their infancy or highly specialized and impractical. Many still use fax

A chilling beauty in seeing the tide before it crashes. Asimov’s psychohistory is fate wrapped in math—and yeah, that’s a mood.

Beyond 2, Snap Specs, XReal are all doing proprietary stuff because they want to own the display and there doesn’t seem to be a standard way to encode telemetry data in HDMI data streams. XReal was/is stuck at 3dof. Snap forces their editor. Beyond 2 forces a link box, pc, and stream.

Thanks, I'll have to look for another video display unit then (with or without tracking built in).
