Yeah. The difficult circumstances for me now are that I’ve been driving for 28 years and I’ve basically lost the ability to reverse park or park straight in general.

Nearly there! I remember my first year at uni being easier than the access course. Also, we were fully versed with Harvard referencing and general essay writing, which put us light years ahead of the other history/pol-sci students. Best of luck!

Bluesky has labelled this as ‘adult content’ 😐

Saw this bit in the BBC article: “Judge Lord Hodge said the ruling should not be seen as a triumph of one side over the other…” That’s not how these people see it, Hodge. I wonder what comes next.

They’re bankrolled by Qatar and had their game at the weekend postponed by the French FA. I don’t think Villa ever stood a chance.

Creg, American liberalism has failed.

My wife made a chargeback on her Barclays c/card, which she paid off in full every month for 25 years, and they reduced her 10k limit to £700.

Not Irish, English from the Mids. My old dad never wore a pair of jeans in his life. Always suit trousers/slacks. Was a Ted in his youth with a bit of Mod thrown in going by old photos tho.

Well done! My sister uses this and is loving her look. The bastards wouldn’t give it to me due to complicated medical history so have to do loads of exercise UGH

Like all the government has to do is say they aren’t a citizen. How are they meant to proved otherwise?
comment in response to post
I don’t listen to this twat’s podcast however I hope the biggest point on this was made: ok, non-US citizens don’t get due process. What happens when a US citizen gets scooped off the street and there’s no due process for them to prove they’re a citizen? What then?

She only mentions work once: 07:30 to 09:00, then takes two hours for breakfast and fucking about outside.

I couldn’t believe it. Being young we had no idea really. Looking back we should have gone to the nearest city walk in centre.

Yes. I remember old gf and me going to local pharmacy for same. We lived in a small town, the girl behind the counter knew who we were, who are friends were, who our parents were, where we drank and what we drove. Just awful. And then she said they didn’t have it there…

Bleak but brilliant. Retains its power to shock and disturb 46 years on.

Never want him back here. Where that assumption came from on his part I don’t know. I don’t think he would get in the team either.

I have never forgiven the rat and thoroughly enjoyed cheering him getting clattered to the floor at VP. His dad called us all a load of cunts afterwards as well, apparently lol.

Red Oaks on Amazon prime. Comedy/drama set in the 80’s, a coming of age type thing.

Horses for courses I guess but I used to be the same until I read Homicide by David Simon. Non-fiction investigative journalism in book form is something the Americans do really really well and most of my reading is that kinda stuff now. Thanks for sharing this 👍

Mate, if tommy told them it was a fake with crisis actors that is precisely what they would believe.

Yeah, they removed the dead lion from packaging last year. The dead lion is from the Samson story in the bible, he returns to the corpse and finds bees have made a hive in the carcass.
