How does it debunk me. It used to be serious issues were debated on tv by people from both sides of the question, and they were required to give equal time to both sides. I watched Tv in the 80's I know.

"The fairness doctrine of the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC), introduced in 1949, was a policy that required the holders of broadcast licenses both to present controversial issues of public importance and to do so in a manner that fairly reflected differing viewpoints"

I hope they all reply "My job"

And while we're bringing back things that existed before how about we bring back the Fairness Doctrine so news programs can't be one sided propaganda networks.

Nah it should be at 110% so there is a wealth tax as well. Force them to sell their 14th house or collection of original copies of Mein Kampf.

I don't trust Microsoft, don't own Apple and now Google is acting shitty. Yet there don't seem to be too many options apart from the big three. Maybe when we get some sanity in the government again we might consider breaking up these monopolies.

We have a word for that.... feudalism.

And that fight never really stops... ever.

This is what happens when your currency is artificially propped up for forty years by the goodwill and trust of others and you take it for granted. 'Goliath' can't even pay it's own bills WITH that artificial support.

That looks to me like a mandatory reading list for a future American educational system, if we survive the Great Orange Pumpkin.

"Why should those other countries pay a small fraction of what USA citizens pay for Drugs and Pharmaceuticals"? You are absolutely right Donny for the first time in forever. You should Immediately implement Medicare for all, and cap drug prices in the USA.

The Fed disagrees, citing Trumps tariff threats and uncertainty about his actions as the reason for not lowering the reserve rate.

I find it hard to believe that anyone will non-violently oppose people with guns who are high on cultism without knowing what it might cost.

You know that if we follow that logic to its conclusion, we can Never not vote for the Dem's as long as the Republicans keep putting up crazy people. Sounds like both sides are winning by playing each other against their base. When the game is unwinnable as is, change the game. #RankedChoiceVoting

Except for AOC. She's telling it like it is.

Watching through the new seasons now and just got to Capaldi. He's a little grumpy for me. Matt Smith was my favorite with Tennant just behind.

Clearly in the interests of public safety all the Shadowfleet tankers should be boarded and brought in for safety inspections and fined where appropriate. If the fines aren't paid the boats are sold to new owners.

Sounds like someone needs to write an Intro to Gothic Fiction Faq to introduce people to the basics.

Congrats Mark on the 50% increase in size after your surgery!

Look lets be realists. In a first past the post system, Fear of the other party keeps people aligned to the two big parties in power. The only way to change that is to change the way voting is counted, like Ranked Choice Voting or something similar, whether that is done through law or amendment.

"But I thought Climate change only affected 'the poors'! What's going on?"

Well I personally think it's great Trump is forcing NATO countries to 5% GDP for defense budgets so they are ready when Denmark invokes article 5 if Trump invades.

It would be terrible if the US lost a small cargo of tactical nuclear weapons in Taiwan. Who knows who might have them and what they might do with them if China invaded?

I suggest that in protest they all move to Pittsburgh or New Jersey or Montana.

In the 80's in college my sociology prof had everyone stand in a circle and then jump. Sounds stupid right. When someone refused to he basically went full metal jacket drill instructor on them until they did. It was a lesson on social and peer pressure. Stuck with me forever.

As someone who is unaware which he is, whats a good start point to find out? What are the questions to ask myself?

Gee Mitch maybe you shouldn't have played around with the way major parts of our Government, like say the Co-equal Judicial branch when you refused to sit a justice for 11 months until the President changed. Little things like that have all sorts of unintended consequences.

They need to stop crapping all over the anti-establishment left, like Bernie Sanders and the DSA instead of kowtowing too and courting old school republicans who are temporarily annoyed that a cult stole their party.

What if somebody became Secretary of Defense and ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE in the military ignored him.

Populism, like everything else from a rational perspective, needs to be paired with Truth to keep it real.

Honestly this is what the 2nd Amendment is expressly there to stop, tyranny by a king. So everyone should start stocking up on ammo.

The Donkeys sign should say "Lets do something to help each other as long as it doesn't change anything fundamental or is too controversial"
