I say this as a dull passive investor. Perhaps the most "active" thing I'll think about doing is holding a bit of cash back to invest in the event of everything falling part.

Well, it depends. A big allocation to equity will always make sense for someone with a long horizon. People shouldn't be changing their asset allocation in response to news - except if fears about the risk of a crash remind you that you're allocated beyond your level of comfort!

I don't see that Microsoft and Apple are boldly opposing Trump - it might just be a matter of time. The likely outcome is that it becomes a localisation feature: all mapping apps change in the US, while keeping the old name elsewhere.
