And yet so many military people are convinced he's a strong supporter of them, even as his officials' lax security procedures expose our personnel to getting killed.

Dude - you have no idea how pissed off an entire nation is. Border towns and areas like FLA and parts of ARI that got lots of snow birds are going to get crushed. Elbows up, mofos. 🇨🇦

We must suddenly live in a peaceful, conflict-free, world if this memo is one of Hegseth's five most important things to do this week.

They claim they will keep the government "open". What does that mean when they presently impound dollars that were already allocated? I hope the Democrats don't go along with this. C'mon, Hakeem, show some spine.

Marco deserves to feel miserable. He sold out and trashed his reputation.

I like how Sarah Longwell expressed it a couple of days ago on The Bulwark, "Marco Rubio looks like someone whose soul has flown out of his body."

They accomplish more and send a stronger statement by not showing up.

This looks like something from The Onion to poke fun at Trump. Makes me wonder if Truth Social was hacked.

I don't doubt the non-response. But I feel the NEED to do something before I wind up lying in front of a tank. I've told my kids to have cash ready if they have to bail me out. I am really too old and arthritic for civil disobedience.

How strange. I tried to send a message to Rep Shri Thanadar on his web site as directed on the "Contact Me" tab. It bounced back with a message, "Access Forbidden". "The resource you requested is forbidden access". Has Musk already shut down the House of Reps communications system?

Next I expect him to say, "When they go low, we go high." Or more accurately, "When they go low, we go hide." I totally despise Rethuglicans, but this passive crap makes me give up on Democrats.

Isn't "stollen" a German pastry or something? This guy looks off his meds more and more with each year. Is it too soon for the 25th Amendment even if it means J.D. Vance will now actually have something to do?

I still haven't gotten the hang of Windows 3.1 yet.

Target on our back? Even Canada is pissed off at us these days. Trump wants to take over Gaza? Reminds me of Russia going into Afghanistan. That didn't go too well for Ivan the Bear. Maybe Trump hasn't noticed but those folks fight back.

And it wasn't that long ago that the biggest scandal was that Hillary Clinton had a private e-mail server?

I would leave Facebook. Zuckerberg paying Trump $25M to settle a horseshit lawsuit is the latest reason. Too bad Mark Z. is such a spineless suck-up. I dropped my two personal FB accounts which I'm sure doesn't exactly damage FB's cash slow. But I feel better for making a token stand.

I'll gladly pay $10 per gallon of gas and $10 for a dozen eggs if it stops Trump's reckless tariffs. I never thought I'd be a Doug Ford fan but I'm on Canada and Mexico's side. The immediate pain will be worth it in the long run.

Thanks. I never could stand "Indiana Wants Me", either.

What year would this have been for "Candy Apple Red"? I was a regular CKLW listener but don't remember it.

Reminds me of when we were at war with Germany. Your neighbors would report you to the local authorities if they smelled you cooking sauerkraut. My friend in Ohio lived on Dresden Street; the name was changed to Druid St.

She was a bit of a tomboy and wanted a tougher sounding name. I also think it helps her stand out vs being plain Margaret. From reading most of her books and many essays I don't see any issue with gender identity
